This experience does not take place in a tourist kitchen, but in my private home in Palermo. It is not a show: it is real cuisine, with authentic recipes of Sicilian cuisine, local ingredients and the atmosphere of a royal family. For thirty years I worked in haute cuisine in different parts of the world, passing through the most prestigious starred restaurants. I was the Chef of National TV Shows (Rai 1) and author of two cookbooks. I chose to go back to the roots and open the doors of my home to those who want to experience Sicily, not just taste it. Every dish tells a story, every gesture has a value: here you cook, eat, talk, laugh. It is an experience that also nourishes memory. You will not find scripts or fiction, but spontaneity and warmth, just like at the home of a Sicilian friend. I'll teach you what you don't find in books: perfumes, slow tempos, dialect words, hands stained with dough. For a few hours, you will really immerse yourself in Sicilian culture.

Chef Andrea invited us into his home and instantly greeted us like we were family from out of town. We missed the 12-year-old minimum in the description, but Chef Andrea was very understanding. His wife and son helped out our 11-year-old twins at first and then decided they were mature enough with some light guidance. They were awesome with the kids and made everyone feel very comfortable. The actual class portion was very fun and informative. We made a traditional Sicilian meal and everything was delicious. The whole time we felt like we were just cooking before a big gathering with family. Once around the table, we began to ask his time as a professional chef, and the stories were almost as good as the food. Highly recommend this class!

This was, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful experiences we had in Sicily — and something I will never forget. ❤️ We had the incredible pleasure of taking a Sicilian cooking class in the home of a well-known Italian chef. From the very first moment, we felt less like guests attending a cooking class and more like friends welcomed into a family home. We were greeted with such warmth and kindness by his wonderful family. During the class, we learned so much — not only about cooking, but also about Sicily, its culture, history, traditions, and everyday life. I absolutely love cooking, so for me it was a true feast of knowledge and inspiration. It was also the first time in my life that I cooked celery, and I learned, among many other little secrets, that salted capers should always be rinsed before eating. These simple, practical tips made the experience feel so personal and authentic. The food itself was absolutely delicious, but it was the people and the atmosphere that made this experience truly unforgettable. His wife and son were also involved in the cooking and took such wonderful care of us throughout the whole experience. We felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. Honestly, I don’t think I have ever experienced such incredible hospitality from people who were complete strangers to us. There was so much warmth, generosity, and authenticity that we truly felt like part of the family. This was so much more than a cooking class. It was a beautiful experience that allowed us to discover Sicily in a completely different way — through its food, culture, history, and, most importantly, its people. And there was an even more special reason why this experience meant so much to us: it was our first wedding anniversary. ❤️ We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful or meaningful way to celebrate it. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and our heads filled with new culinary inspiration. We were lucky enough to participate in a Sicilian cooking class at Andrea's, and it was simply incredible. Andrea and his wife welcomed us with rare kindness and generosity. You can immediately feel that they share their passion for Sicilian cuisine with a lot of heart, and not just their expertise. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, as if we were cooking with family. We learned a lot of things about the real products and culinary traditions of the region, in a relaxed and caring atmosphere. The icing on the cake: they even gave us a small gift at the end, a gesture that shows how much they care about their guests. Had a great experience with Andrea and his family! They welcomed us into their home for dinner and the hospitality could not have been better. Definitely a highlight of our family trip to Sicily.
