Incredible private wine tour do not miss!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most incredible private wine tour with Pegasus Wine Tours during our stay at Lake Garda, and I genuinely can’t recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, Aurora was absolutely fantastic. She was incredibly responsive, so helpful, and went above and beyond to create the perfect itinerary for us. My mum only drinks white and rosé wines, while I was keen to experience Valpolicella, so it wasn’t the easiest brief! Aurora took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and somehow created the perfect balance. Nothing was too much trouble, and her communication throughout the booking process was exceptional. On the day of the tour, we were looked after by Michaela (who told us to call her Mickey), and she was simply outstanding. Her knowledge of the region, the wines, the history and local culture was incredible, and she made the whole day so enjoyable. It felt like spending the day with a friend who happened to know absolutely everything about Lake Garda and the surrounding wine regions. The itinerary Aurora put together was perfect. We enjoyed a wonderful authentic Italian lunch at a local restaurant full of Italians—which is always a great sign! The food was absolutely delicious. The wineries were equally unforgettable. One was run by two sisters, and it was such a special experience hearing their story and tasting their fantastic wines. The second was a small family-run vineyard that we almost certainly would never have discovered on a larger group tour. It felt exclusive, personal and genuinely authentic. We also spent time exploring the beautiful town of Lazise, which was the perfect addition to an already amazing day. Everything about the experience was seamless, personalised and thoughtfully planned. If you’re visiting Lake Garda and are considering a wine tour, don’t hesitate to book with Pegasus Wine Tours. The attention to detail, the quality of the itinerary and the warmth and expertise of both Aurora and Mickey made it one of the highlights of our entire holiday. Thank you both for such a memorable day. We’d book with Pegasus again in a heartbeat!

Private wine tour

From booking to the day of our tour we had a wonderful experience with Pagus. They were very responsive and I highly recommend booking directly with Pagus (as opposed to through trip advisor) to get exactly the experience you want. Our family did a tour with Anna to two small family wineries then had lunch and had a wonderful time. We have two small children and Anna was so welcoming and patient, in addition to being knowledgeable about the area/wine. After the wineries, she took us to a great lunch spot that had great views. Overall it was a great experience.

Amazing Tasting at Quintarelli Winery

Davide took us to discover Valpolicella, he was an excellent guide both on history and curiosities of this beautiful area. After visiting some characteristic places (S. Maria in Valverde and the stone quarries of Prun) we went to visit the historical cellar of Quintarelli family. The founder's grandson showed us the appassimento of the Amarone and Recioto grapes and the cellar, telling us the story of this family deeply tied to these wines. The tasting took place in the barriques and old vintages room. We tasted 6 red wines: one better than the other. Davide stayed with us to answer our questions and curiosities. Then we went to have lunch at the Enoteca della Valpolicella: a place where traditional Verona cuisine is presented in a modern way: we ate (and drank) very well. We also visited San Giorgio Ingannapolton: one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. If you want a taste of the excellence of Valpolicella, this is the tour for you!

EXCELLENT tour!

Wonderful tour with a knowledgeable guide that spoke very good English. The lunch was tremendous! The staff at the wineries were kind and helpful when it came to ordering cases to send home. We had our young child and they were able to accommodate her. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great wine tour.

Wonderful experience!!

Our guide was excellent! Martina was informative, interesting and friendly. Vini Gamba winery has an outstanding view. Our guide was the winery’s daughter. She was so very informative, interesting and amiable. We tasted 3 wines. Their Amarone was so very NICE!! Two thumbs up. The second winery, Valentina Cubi, made organic wines. The owner, Valentina, was very passionate and knowledgeable about wine making. It was quite an interesting experience. We had the most delicious lunch at Enoteca della Valpolicella!! The set-lunch was quite unforgettable.. Every dish was made to perfection!! The service was outstanding as well. This tour is so very worth your time. Don’t miss out!!

Verona wine country

Very pleasant day visiting small family run winery and a larger winery. Both had excellent tastings. Lunch followed the two tastings. I thought we were to visit a third winery after lunch, but we were returned to Verona. Guide was English speaking and very knowledgeable.

Wonderful Day Trip!

My wife and I were staying in Venice but wanted to make a visit to the Amarone region so we booked the Two Wineries and Lunch tour with Pagus. So glad we did! The train from Venice to Verona was inexpensive and easy to arrange and it was a short walk from the station to the meeting point. Our guide, Laura, was exceptional. She spoke perfect english, was funny and engaging and was exceedingly knowledgeable about winemaking in the region. She also drove the van! The group was three couples of different ages and nationalities, which made the discussions lively and interesting. We visited two small-production wineries, toured their operations and tasted their products. We were the only visitors at each property and had plenty of time to ask questions and make purchases. We finished with an outdoor lunch at a beautiful hilltop osteria, sampling local dishes (the risotto Amerone was amazing) with, of course, more wine. We were back in our hotel in Venice by1900 with memories to last a lifetime (and a few bottles to take home). Grazie, Laura, for a wonderful experience.

The best day of our trip to Italy(and the whole year?!)

We spent the day with Laura in Valpolicella, and it was a unforgettable experience from the start to the end. This trip can’t really be described, it has to be experienced. We looked forward for this trip for a long time, and it met all our expectations. Laura was the perfect host, and the hosts at DolceVera and Le Brignele at the same level, so friendly and welcoming. The lunch at a hidden Italian pearl was the perfect ending to our day. We will come back, even only for the tour!
