We had a great time on this walking wine tour with Mario! We visited 4 different wine bars, ranging from a wine shop to an old fashioned trattoria to a contemporary wine bar, and had a different glass of Veneto wine at each location paired with some snacks. Mario talked about each wine, tasting notes, production, etc. and we had a lot of fun and learned a lot. I would highly recommend this tour for any wine lovers!
Our wine tour guide Mario was excellent- he is a sommelier and shared important information about each of the wines and also the regions we tried. Each wine was paired with a very tasty appetizer. Really impressed by his knowledge. Highly recommend his tour
We heard about this walk from our Milan wine guide. What a great experience! This was a fun evening walk through the main squares of Padua, where we stayed as a base to visit Venice and Verona. The walk included stops in two charming and authentic wine bars, where we sampled wines and finger food at each one. Our guide Mario was incredibly knowledgeable and we came away with a nice overview of the wines of this part of Italy. We really appreciated the suggestions for restaurants from a local’s perspective too.
thank you so much for your kind words. Mario enjoyed meeting you. Happy that you enjoyed your wine evening!
My family and I enjoyed a fun and informative wine walk with Mario in Padua. Mario was friendly and engaging and clearly knew a lot about wines! We learned a lot about the wines we tasted and as well enjoyed the cichetti and ambiance and beauty that Padua had to offer. Highly recommend this tour.
WE really enjoyed the tour with Mario. IT was a great way to get to know doubt Italian Wines and the the wonderful City of Padova. Mario was a charming host and made the whole evening a delight. We cannot recommend it highly enough.
We only had one day in Venice and this wine tasting walk was simply the perfect way to spend our limited time! In addition to the wonderful apertifs and small bites, Rachel's knowledge of the region and explaining the history behind the traditions was simply invaluable. You do not need to worry about a thing as Venice Day Trips takes care of everything from the tickets needed to paying the tab at the various stops. We just loved our time and cannot recommend this trip enough!
Thanks so much for your kind works! It's always a pleasure to meet interested travellers like yourselves! warm regards, Rachel
A fantastic private day tour of Padua’s Christian and Jewish history with tours of the Basilica of St. Anthony, The Scrovengi Chapel and a tour of the Jewish Ghetto. Breathtaking significant art works of Giotto at the Scrovengi Chapel. Fantastic local pasta of regional wild game for lunch snd a few stops for fantastic coffee and immersion into the wonderful tradition of the spritz culture. Rachel’s knowledge of art, history and the culture of Padua was beyond expectation.
