We had a great time! The staff was incredibly helpful in arranging and managing our transfers, as well as the cruise and excursions. The entire ship was clean and well-equipped, and the food was divine and plentiful, all in an unparalleled natural setting. Our favorite activity was the cooking school, where we made spring rolls. (I also loved the morning tai chi, even though there were only two of us with the instructor!) I highly recommend it to everyone!
Charlie was an excellent cruise leader, precise in giving instructions to the group and managing the numerous planned activities: from the cooking class, where we learned to prepare spring rolls, to the interesting Tai Chi lesson, which helped us relieve the stress accumulated in the previous days. Fun and friendly, he managed to make us enjoy the cruise to the fullest.
lovely experience as a first cruise! the activities on and off the boat were awesome, such as kayaking and exploring… and doing karaoke helped all the visitors bond!!! the staff were lovely and helpful.
The staff was amazing and friendly
he package we booked (2D1N from hanoi) included all our meals, tickets and a bus ride to and from hanoi except for drinks and the additonal (very exhilirating) speedboat tour ride where they explain the different rock formations around ha long bay. Everything was organised in a very well structured, however one small complaint is that there were a few moments of miscommunication on where we should meet.
Good evening, here is my experience. (5 stars cruise) Let’s start with the fact that the bus made me wait for half an hour in the middle of a busy road. The scheduled departure was at 7:50, but it actually left at 8:20. We arrived at the port and had to wait over an hour to board the ship. We boarded like shipwrecks practically at lunchtime, so much so that we had to eat lunch among our suitcases. After lunch, they went to the room, and the first things I noticed were the hot room (the air conditioning wasn't working), the dirty bathrobe with stains that could be removed with a wash (I have photos), the dirty bathroom floor, the fridge turned off, the TV didn't work, and the broken jacuzzi. We left for the cave trip at 2:30, but we were the only ones without a guide to explain things to us. It was embarrassing having to listen to the other groups to understand anything of what we were seeing. When checking in and even before starting lunch, I made it clear that the only thing I didn't like was the onion. During meals, I noticed that some dishes weren't arriving at my table. They justified themselves by saying I said I didn't like seafood, which was absolutely untrue. What do they do to fix it? They bring me other dishes, but they're full of onions, the only ingredient I specified I didn't like! on the ship, there were only families and elderly people (how come at the time of booking, when I asked for advice, all this was not mentioned? There should have been a mini golf and obviously there wasn't, there should have been karaoke and squid fishing but even though we showed up before the established time it was not available to do the activity. I drank a cocktail but at 10 pm everything was turned off and closed. A morgue. I decided not to go on the morning trip because I wasn't feeling well. I left the room at 8 for breakfast but there was nothing to eat. I asked if they could give me something to eat at least to take some medicine but nothing. Very high prices, taxes and services (not mentioned) that increased the price of everything. Lunch is served at 10 and not at 10.50 and at 11 they made us get off the ship! A ROBBERY!
The place is beautiful and feerique Activities at the top! Of course it is the parade of boats and tourists but it is the game. The staff is super nice. However, 2 days of cruising turns into 23 h Speed of day 2 or get up at 6:30 for breakfast, do an activity (great by the way) then clear the cabin to eat again at 9:30 and get out of the boat at 10:30 ... good ... Moreover, even if the meals are varied, good and sufficient, we eat in 20 minutes! We chain the many dishes without taking the time. Everything is rhythm and chronometer ... after that is also communism, it goes straight away without going out of frame otherwise we risk if rebellion the reeducation camp!! So mixed visit, between the beauty of the place to do of course and the hyper surrounding coast and rhythm of the cruise.
Great cruise, great service, food is OK and room is comfortable. Cleaning could have been better but overall good experience to discover ha long bay. Special thanks to Alex for his warm welcome.
The cruise was nice but the people even more. We met and shared many experiences with everyone. Alex was a great guy, showing and giving the best tips. Thank you !
Loved this tour, the crew and the boat was amazing and the food was out of this world. We toured the cave and went kayaking to see caves, bays and monkeys. Special shoutout to Charlie, he was great from the get-go at the port. He had loads of information about where we were visiting, answered any questions we had and joined us for karaoke which was fun. He kept the energy up for the whole tour which is no small feat.
