Step back in time as we retrace the footsteps, lives and locations of Claire and Jamie from Outlander, as they lived over 400 years ago. This was a harsh time in Scotland, the tragedy of the failed Jacobite rising brought many hardships to the people of this land, portrayed through the eyes of Claire and Jamie. On this tour, your guide will take you through some of the most iconic filming locations of the hit TV series Outlander.

Pollok Park boasts a pedigree 'Highland Coos' fold (herd), so you will be able to admire these beautiful animals also featured in Outlander. Pollok Park doubled as the grounds surrounding the fictional Castle Leoch. In season 2, it also became the French countryside that the characters travelled through between Le Havre and Paris.
In Outlander, Doune Castle is the fictional Castle Leoch, ancestral home to the Mckenzies. Doune Castle was also used in several other movies and TV series, such as Game of Thrones and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
You will recognise this 16th-century village as Cranesmuir in Outlander. It was here that Jamie saved the little boy's ear when it had been nailed into a post as punishment for stealing a loaf of bread.
This 12th century castle doubled as the monastery where Claire and Murtagh brought Jamie to recover after his ordeal at the prison. The filming at Aberdour Castle took, in the Old Kitchen and Long Gallery.
Midhope Castle is Lallybroch: Jamie’s family home in Outlander.
The tough-looking Blackness Castle looks like it could fend off an entire empire. In Outlander, it stands for Fort William.

Joao picked us up on time in a totally clean Mercedes Van. He spoke about where we were going and gave us choices. He picked an order of castles to see. He was very knowledgeable in speaking about all our destinations. At the end we had a little time left over and he took us to the Glasgow Cathedral. We were back to the ship in plenty of time.
