The seemingly endless rows of cherry trees (more than 5000) can be viewed from a pleasant riverside promenade. There are also areas with a lot of space for picnics.
The bridge to enter the castle will give you views on the Cherry Blossoms reflection dancing in the water. Over 4000 cherry trees are planted on the grounds of the park, a particularly nice place for a picnic.
Pass by "Osaka Mint Bureau" where can enjoy more than 100 varieties of sakura trees. The gates of the garden are opened to the public for one week in mid-April.
The first full-fledged Buddhist temple in Japan to enshrine the Four Heavenly Kings. The garden (entrance fees required) is filled with about 50 cherry trees in full bloom between the end of March-beginning of April.
The former site of the 1970 Expo exhibition is now a huge park famous for its beautiful cherry blossoms from late March to early April. Over 5000 cherry trees line up along its paths and around its large lawn areas. Not to miss the light up in the evenings.
You can end your experience strolling along the banks of the O River as you leave Osaka Castle Park.

We had a wonderful Sakura 🌸 private tour with Kanna. She met us up at our hotel which we really appreciated. She was a lovely lady, fun and full of laughters. Loved walking around Osaka with Maria. She was very personable and knowledgeable. Maria took us to less tourist spots so we could enjoy the beautiful city and cherry blossoms. Would highly recommend this tour.
The viewing of beautiful cherry blossoms and Osaka's incredible public parks and spaces was tremendous! Getting picked up right from our hotel and maximizing all we could see with our tour guide was appreciated. It would have been ideal to have had the opportunity to learn more about the history of what we were seeing, history of Osaka, or any facts about the area.
