This was a really fun and enjoyable cooking lesson! Everything was explained really well and I had a lot of fun making delicious Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki! And I am confident that I will be able to make Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki when I am home with the recipe that I was given
We are a mature couple from Canada. Asami taught us how to make okonomyaki and takoyaki. She was responsive to messages to help us find the place, a studio space great for a cooking class. All ingredients and appliances were prepared. We had a very pleasant experience learning from Asami. We even got to eat our dishes in comfort. Highly recommend!
It's actually set back from the road in flats. I had a great time as there were 2 other couple. The instructors were lovely. Good direction and well organised . To hey explained the process and all the ingredients. We made good looking otonomyyaki which also tasted great. I feel I can go home confident to cook this dish which is what I wanted. Thankyou so much
We got really lucky as it was just the two of us who booked the experience on that given day any time. That being said, everything was very intimate, fun and interactive, and accommodating. The food was amazing as was the conversation.
My wife and I both had a wonderful time. We greatly enjoyed the personal attention Washoku provided to us. We felt like old friends, if not family. The cooking instructions were easy to follow and the ingredients were well laid out and ready. Washoku was very helpful in assisting us with finding online shopping for most of the ingredients for once we're back home. The food we made (okonomiyaki & takoyaki) were delicious, if I do say so myself. Washoku was so nice, he even helped us book a sumo event for later that night. I highly recommend this class. Five stars.
We took part in an okonomiyaki and takoyaki cooking class and it was absolutely amazing! 😊 The atmosphere was super fun and friendly, we laughed a lot while learning. The instructors were incredibly kind, patient, and very skilled, taking the time to explain each step and share lots of great tips. And the result? Absolutely delicious! We enjoyed every bite. It’s a fun, tasty, and enriching experience that we highly recommend to everyone. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts… and the urge to recreate the recipes at home!
Fantastic hosts and teachers, Mimi-san and Nana-san provided a fun experience with delicious food and drinks! I can’t wait to make Okonomiyaki again at home
Mimi-san and Nana-san are awesome chefs. We will definitely cook this at home in San Francisco- okonomiyaki and takoyaki …and practice. They are great teachers, with patience and we learned more about the culture of cooking. An experience not to forget but to savor.
The couse is run by a young japanese couple, they give you not only a recipie but also a thorough guide to make the best, okonomiaki and takoyaki. I higly recomend.
A relaxed and enjoyable way to spend an evening in busy Osaka! It was fun to learn about the different ingredients that go into these dishes and how they might be made at home. Particularly appreciated the written recipes and the opportunity to see the packaging for the different ingredients to help with finding them in the supermarket. Thanks!
