We will visit the must see castle in Japan, the Osaka Castle. The story of Hideyoshi, who built this castle is loved by many Osaka citizen and he is regarded as one of the most popular hero in Japan. Your guide will tell you about the role Osaka played in the past and now and culture and people of Osaka. Tenjinbashisuji Shopping street is the longest (2.5km) shopping street in Japan serving Osaka locals. Immerse yourself in the long arcade and feel like a local. We will take a leisurely walk and you can enjoy shopping and dining like a local. We use public transportation between sites. Transportation, shopping and dining fees are your personal expenses.

This is the main entrance to the gate. It's a second generation gate, but was built more than 400 years ago. There are many good picture taking spots between here and the castle top.
Original castle was built more than 400 years ago when Japan was in turmoil, samurai fighting to unify Japan by force. Your guide will tell you legends and interesting stories behind the castle and people of then and now. Go up to the castle top and enjoy the grand view of the city, feeling like the lord of this castle.
This shopping street is the longest shopping street in Japan, and it originated as the approach to Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. Unlike famous shopping streets that sell high-end products, this is a very unique streets with many locals. There are about 600 shops and eateries. You can relax and feel like a local.

We’ll meet you up at your hotel if located in the City or meet you at designated meeting point like Osaka port (Tempozan) or Osaka Metro Stations. Pick up from Kobe will be 5,000 yen additional per group. Please pay to your guide on the spot.

It was great experience to walk tought the amazing castle with Ichiro San, he was so patient, interested and kind with us. Also he know lot of Japanese history and share it in a great way. Definitely a great option as tourist guide.

Wonderful experience, learned so much about Japanese history! We just spent the best 4 hours with Miyo Kuyama wandering the grounds of the castle and learning about its history. We would highly recommend Miyo. Ask for her if you can! Note we did not do the shopping part but had to select from the drop down options…

Awesome tour, the castle is remarkable to see in person. My tour guide named Keiko, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about the history and made the tour fun, I would highly recommend to anyone who plans on visiting Osaka.

Ando Minako was a superb guide. We met her at 9 am and the visit was perfect. She gave us some great information and made it very interesting. Even our 12 years old twins loved it and had a great time. The castle was great and the rest of the tour. We also felt that it was just enough information and what we were looking for. Ichiro was a terrific guide. He showed us the Osaka castle, explained a lot of the history of Japan and it was really terrific. He also took us to the longest shopping street in Japan which was very nice and then we had a great tempora lunch. Ichiro then took us to a more upscale area. He really made an effort to educate us and answered all of our questions.

Keiko-San was a fantastic tour guide and showed us all around Osaka Castle. She even tailored the itinerary to show us Dotomburi instead of longest shopping street when we mentioned we hadn’t been to Doromburi, and it was a wonderful tour.
