- You will be driving the car yourself. You'll need a valid car driving license, and please make sure you have it with you on the tour (if you don't have it with you, you won't be able to drive).
- You must be at least 18 years of age to drive, at least 8 years to be a passenger.
- The tour operator reserves the right of final judgement in client participation of actual car driving, or to discontinue car use at any point of the tour. Any participant unable to drive cars safely may switch as passenger (subject to availability), or on the guide’s car if available. NO REFUND will be granted in this case. OUR FIRST AND FOREMOST CONCERN IS EVERYONE’S SAFETY.
- A THIRD-PARTY insurance for civil liability is INCLUDED in the price of the tour. As for any vehicle rental, please note that clients will be given two options to choose from, to cover vehicle damages (either one of these two will need to be chosen in order to rent the car): subscribe an additional insurance (€20,00 per vehicle, not refundable) or sign for a guarantee deposit of €500,00 on their credit card. NO CASH PAYEMENT.
- The maximum load the TOPOLINO can tolerate is 170 kg / 374 lbs (whether one or two people, bags included). At check-in, Towns of Italy reserves the right to exclude participants from this tour if these requirements are not met. Maximum height 1,90m (6,3 feet). No refund will be due.
- We love animals, but pets are not permitted on board to avoid any allergy-related issues and ensure the comfort of all passengers. Please refrain from consuming food and beverages on board, except for water.
- No flip flops permitted for drivers.
- RAIN POLICY: The tour departure will never be cancelled due to rain. We will do our best to proceed with the tour, avoiding the rain until street conditions guarantee a safe ride. If it does not stop raining, the entire tour will be conducted in the safety and comfort of the minivan. Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority, and proper rain gear is mandatory for guests choosing to "ride in the rain". We ask clients to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure, to check the weather conditions and choose accordingly. No-shows will not be refunded. Guest options on rainy days, to be communicated immediately at the Front Desk staff during check-in operations: 1) Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather – PARTIAL RIDE or NO RIDE due to heavy rain. Customers can decide to proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather, with the understanding that if scooters are not ridden at all due to rain, or if the Vespa tour is dramatically abbreviated due to rain, customers will NOT be granted any refund or discount. We will do our best to get you on a scooter, weather permitting. 2) Reschedule the tour for another day, subject to availability. To request a rescheduling, please contact our booking department, following the instructions and using the contacts provided by your guide. If no suitable date / time is available for the reschedule, you will be able to choose any other experience available, with an equal or less value, or eventually an experience with a higher value, paying only the difference. 3) A credit, called Rain Check, (of the same amount clients paid) to be used the following days or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to the client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date, and lasts up to 1 year from the date of issue. As a transferable voucher, it can be used in any other tour provided by our company.
- To preserve the authentic open-air feel of your eco-friendly ride, our e-cars do not have traditional air conditioning. Two small fans are provided in each car to keep you comfortable while you enjoy the Tuscan breeze. Operative also in spring and autumn, our vehicles ensure the comfort of always traveling warm and dry, so you can fully enjoy the ride in every season.

My family went on the Vespa tour but I wanted a more stable vehicle, so I did this tour. Damian was an excellent tour guide. I drove my own electric mini car (basically a golf cart with sides). We made three stops for pictures and to explore one of the towns in the region. I felt very safe and comfortable in the little car and also greatly enjoyed the beautiful views. After the tour we enjoyed a vegetarian lunch and then a wine tasting. It made for a lovely day in Tuscany and the Chianti region. Highly recommend if you want to get out of Florence and enjoy a day in the countryside.
My husband booked this as a surprise for my birthday, and it exceeded all of our expectations. We enjoyed a beautiful drive through the countryside to the meeting point, which was the perfect start to the day. Our tour guides were friendly, upbeat, and full of good humour. They shared fascinating information about Florence, the local area, and the wine, and were happy to answer all of our questions. We were given a clear introduction to the cars before setting off, and driving through the stunning countryside was an unforgettable experience. We were a little concerned that, at 6’3” and 5’11”, the Fiat might be too small, but it was surprisingly spacious, comfortable, and easy to drive. Along the route, we stopped at some breathtaking viewpoints and visited a charming local town, giving us plenty of opportunities to take in the scenery. Back at the starting point, we enjoyed a fresh, delicious lunch followed by a wine and olive oil tour and tasting. Everyone we met was welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. We absolutely loved every part of the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys discovering the local area, taking in spectacular views, and sampling incredible food and wine in a truly beautiful setting. It was a fantastic day from start to finish.
We had such an incredible day out driving around and stopping off at various site. End our day off at a winery near by for a lovely lunch with our group as well as a wine/olive oil tasting. Our tour guide Dam was so insightful about the various areas that we stopped at.

A great experience that my family will never forget. There was something for each of us to enjoy from the drive, to the views, to the wine and lunch. Our guide, Chiara, was so kind and helpful and Yo who took us on the bus was also amazing. Would definitely book again.
This was such an excellent experience. Kiara was an amazing guide and gave great information. Driving in the Toscalino car was easy to adjust to and the drive is just absolutely beautiful. The food and wine at the winery is delicious, we bought three bottles. 10/10 recommend this experience. This was such a treat for the perfect amount of time and for the price. Good size of the group and for all types of people.
