Organic Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumpling Class & Market Walk

Description
Experience a signature Chinese delicacy through a family recipe taught by a local home chef. This class goes deeper than a standard dumpling workshop: you’ll make every wrapper by hand, craft the soup-filled interior, and learn the traditional folding technique unique to Xiao Long Bao. With a market walk, cultural insights, organic ingredients, and no MSG, this is a truly authentic and intimate cooking experience. Evening class we will visit a night market in Temple street for learning HK street food.

Such a great experience! From the market walk to the cooking class, Feliz was a great instructor and very informative. She was hands on with the teaching and answered all the questions we had during the process. The soup dumplings turned out delicious! Highly recommend this class if you are in Hong Kong!
My daughter and I took Feliz soup dumpling class! She was wonderful. She explained every step carefully and allowed us to practice on our own. We can’t wait to make the dumplings when we get back home. Before the class we walked through the market. Feliz explained all the different foods and stalls. Very informative. We would definitely recommend. Also we booked directly on her website which can save money too.
The market tour was very thorough and interesting, and getting some of the ingredients that we later used in the class was incorporated into the tour, which was a great idea. We liked that we were going to use organic ingredients. This was followed by the dumpling-making part, which was much more complicated than making just regular dumplings (that's why we took this class!), and Chef Feliz did an admirable job leading us through it, step by step. We learned a lot and enjoyed a delicious meal of our self-made Xiao Long Bao at the end of the class. Overall, this was an excellent cooking class and Chef Feliz is very knowledgeable (and a very patient teacher). We plan to make the dumplings at home with the same recipe soon!
Feliz Yau taught me how to make delicious xiao long bao from scratch. Can’t wait to try this at home. Thanks for this experience!
We had an amazing time at Feliz’s dumpling class in Hong Kong! The market walk was a vibrant start, with Feliz guiding us through fresh ingredients and local culture. We crafted organic xiao long bao and dumplings from scratch, loved the veg option! Everything was included, from ingredients to equipment, making it super convenient - and Feliz is very knowledgeable and helpful. The hands-on experience was fun, relaxed, and a highlight of our trip! Highly recommended!
The cooking workshop was absolutely amazing! I’ve been to Hong Kong several times, but it was my partner’s first visit. This experience helped him connect with the city’s food and culture on a deeper level. Before the class, we visited several local markets where we learned about the ingredients and local dishes, and even tried a delicious durian mochi! The workshop took place in a quiet, cozy café, and the vegetarian xiao long bao we made were incredible, we’ve already cooked them again at home. Feliz is such a warm, friendly, and inspiring host. We had wonderful conversations and truly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended!
We booked it for a double date, and had a woneerful time. Feliz gave us wonderful insights at the wet market and we saw a different side to the area even after living in HK for 3 years. The venue is after hours at a super chilled nice cafe so we had it to ourselves, we never felt rushed and enjoyed the whole 3 hours in good company and making dumplings ( yes it does take 3 hours and they fly by ). Absolutely worth it, and great experience for tourists and locals alike looking for a relaxing group activity. Afterwards we felt full and relaxed away from the hustle and bustle of HK. She also actually has contacts to do other cantonese dishes if you request it, im sure she will accomodate
This is a great experience, one I highly recommend. Feliz is a great host, friendly and knowledgeable. Feliz talked about creating an experience and she truly delivered on that - It was so special to spend time with family learning to make dumplings with no distractions. The quality of the ingredients shines through in the finished product and whilst our dumplings were far from perfect they tasted amazing, better than Din Tai Fung, and we are huge fans.
We had the best time with Feliz! Even living in Hong Kong for 16 years, we learned so much on the market walk and getting the best ingredients. Feliz was really good at communicating both before and during the class. The cafe she uses to hold the class was just lovely. We made lots of delicious xiao long bao soup dumplings - and they tasted even better than Din Tai Fung! We all feel we could make them at home and already thinking up more fillings! It was just a wonderful thing to do as a family and we absolutely loved it! Huge thanks Feliz!!!
Loved the evening! Enjoyable stroll around the markets and then fun making the soup dumplings. Great way to spend a few hours in HK and makes you appreciate the skill that goes into dumpling making!
