That was amazing. Teacher has a lot of knowlege about cooking, harvesting etc. It was great time with great people. I hope that we will meet soon. Love you <3
We had the best time doing this cooking course. We had a lot of great food in Sri Lanka but this was one of the best food we ate. Can’t wait to try cooking it. Highly recommend
He was super nice and explained a lot about health, cooking and spices. He gave us recipes so we could recreate the meals at home. We would really recommend coming here!
It was an amazing cooking class!! We enjoyed it very much, the family was friendly and gave us so much information about traditional Sri Lankan food 😋
It is a super nice cooking workshop. It is organized by a family of 3 and the cute daughter is assisting her parents. The people are really nice and really enjoy giving the lessons. You start with a short tour in their herbal garden and they explain a bit about the herbal medicine they apply here in Sri Lanka. Afterwards you get instructions how to make different curries, roti and string hoppers and they put you to work. The food was so delicious! At the end you can buy some spices and you get the recipes send to you via whatsapp. It is such a lovely cooking workshop and I could not recommend it more when you are in Sigiriya!
It was really, really fun! Organized by a family where all products come from their own garden. Very sweet family who do everything together☺️ It costs a little more money than others, but then you stay out of the cooking course mafia that is present in Sri Lanka
Very nice, warm and kind family, introducing their garden and cooking delicious food. I really enjoyed the cooking class with them.
This cooking class was a once in a lifetime experience. We have never done a cooking class like it. The family who lead the class, we believe to be husband and wife, were kind, knowledgeable, friendly & accommodating. We met their daughter who was 4 years old and my husband made some Idiyappam with her, it was very sweet. The class and tour of the garden took around 2 hours for just the 2 of us. Unfortunately, this family experience a lot of last minute cancellation due to hotels or taxis asking for a 50% commission therefore I would advise to book direct and do not cancel. This income supports 22 members of their family and promotes natural medicine and organic farming, this is their pride and joy and you can see that in their classes. PLEASE BOOK!!!
A real highlight of our holiday. We prepared, cooked and ate a brilliant Sri Lankan meal together. A real family enterprise. All the ingredients are organic and grown on the property. Everything prepared in a traditional way. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and relaxed. We left feeling informed, inspired and happy
Best Sri Lankan cooking class in Sirigiya! All natural ingredients from the garden, super educational, around 4 curries made, with sides and desert.
