I went on the Piers and Queers walking tour, led extremely entertainingly, by Ric Morris. The information about the lives and histories of a range of LGBTQ+ people across a wide span of time, was fascinating, well-researched and presented. I felt it was an excellent timeline showing how once being queer in any sense had to be hidden and denied, compared to our experience of today when you can buy same-sex wedding cards in WHSmith! I loved the way Ric illustrated the stories at each stop and his great use of quotes. I went with a friend, who like me, is also a Tour Guide, and we both thought this was a fantastic experience
I really enjoyed this tour. Learned a lot about Brighton as it was my first visit. Definitely glad I listened to his advice about visiting the Royal pavilion from the inside. Would like to book other Ric's tours as well.
Had an amazing time, great overview of Brighton and it's unique history. Rick is an excellent storyteller. Highly recommend.
A very interesting tour around Brighton, would definately recommend. Rick made the tour enjoyable and entertaining, we learnt lots of new facts about Brighton - thank you
Rick was friendly, engaging, funny entertaining and warm. He pitched the tour perfectly. We have been to Brighton many times but saw different places and learnt many facts. There were 10 of us in the group from different cultural backgrounds and Rick managed this well. He chatted to each of us and took time to explain the context of the information he was sharing. The folder of pictures to support the discussion was interesting and engaging. The tour lasted and hour and 20 minutes. It went quickly, it wasn't rushed but was perfectly timed. I would recommend this tour and hope some friends will go
I took my parents on this tour for their anniversary, having had their honeymoon in Brighton, and as i now live in the city. As my aunty and uncle were in town they also came along! We all really enjoyed the pace and variety of information, it was interesting for both those that know Brighton well and first time visitors. It gave us lots to talk about over dinner afterwards!
Lots of interesting facts to help understand why Brighton is such a great vibrant City. We whizzed through The Lanes quickly so it would have been helpful to stop and hear a little more info about them. Good fun.
A really informative and interesting tour with a knowledgeable guide. Well worth doing if you don't know Brighton.
We were in Brighton for an old school-friends 60th birthday jolly and Rick’s tour was brilliant. Witty and really well delivered, he showed us some of the quirkier corners of town and told some fascinating stories.
As a lifelong Brighton resident I wasn't sure how much we would get out of this tour but I was expecting to be entertained. We were both entertained and informed. I highly recommend this tour.
