The city of Petra, capital of the Nabataean Arabs, is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, it is Located 240 km south of the capital Amman and 120 km north of the red sea town of Aqaba Petra the world wonder is undoubtedly Jordan's most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction, and it is visited by tourists from all over the world. It is not known precisely when Petra was built, but the city began to prosper as the capital of the Nabataean Empire from the 1st century BC, which grew rich through trade in frankincense, myrrh, and spices. Petra was later annexed to the Roman Empire and continued to thrive until a large earthquake in 363 AD destroyed much of the city in the 4th century AD.

I didn't have the tour no-one came for me. They just took money and never answered. Me. Don't but toor with the.
Tour operator didn't show up despite confirmation email the day before. After waiting an hour and after several messages and calls, the person who's mobile number was listed as the contact responded 3 hours later stating he no longer worked for this company and hadn't for 7 months!! We tried to contact the tour company office via our hotel reception but the number just rang out My advice would be to save your money and book with another operator. I have requested a full refund and I would expect TripAdvisor and their sister tour business to better verify the tours they promote in the future, so others don't experience what we have just done and aren't left disappointed. This was supposed to be a trip that I have always wanted to experience, and now I just want to get out of Jordan and focus on experiencing other places where things aren't run by cowboy outfits and con artists. I will think twice before booking anything through this site again
Great service, Maher is such a great person! Perhaps it might be good to extend the tour duration since Petra takes too long to see.
Service is excellent. The tour is unique to Petra, but it takes two days to visit. I will return to Jordan again to visit this beautiful country

We booked this trip prior to travelling. The arrangement was to meet from our cruise ship at Aqaba at 930am and an agent would be there with our names on a board. When we exited there was no agent and after waiting over 15 minutes and all other people leaving for their transport we started to panick that we would not be able to get to Petra. We found alternative transport and got in the minivan only then to be chased by the GoAgaba agent saying that he had been there to meet us and we needed to continue with him. Our transport however was still not at the port. He advised it would arrive in 10/15 minutes. We waited. At 10.30am the minivan arrived and our journey to underway. Our driver Junior was very nice and cheerful. On arrival at Petra he said that he had to stop at the ATM machine to get funds for our entrance fee. The ATM would not give him any money. We then went to a bank for him to get another bank card. We then went back to the ATM machine but still it would not work. By this time we had wasted over 30 minutes. Our trip included lunch but as we arrived at the entrance to Petra at 2pm we did not have time for lunch. We only had 2 hours in Petra which was not long enough to see all that it had to offer. We met back at the minivan at 4pm and were told that we could now go for lunch in the restaurant! We did not have time for this needing to get back to the boat at 6.30pm, When we arrived at the port we had to pay for the trip but due to the issues I asked for a reduction. After personally having a conversation with the manager he agreed to this. The original price was $200 per person but ended up paying $175. To conclude, we got to see the wonders of Petra but this trip did not give us the time needed and was not worth the money spent.

We were lucky and had a car on our own. The car was almost new, absultely clean and comfortable (Hyundai Sonata). Mr Yehia Zemili was a very safe driver and a polite and knowable guide. On our way to Petra he showed us some remakable lookouts where we admired the wonderful landscape. The lunch was very good, with a wide selction of dishes. Petra itself is very impressive but also very crowded.
