OnBird - PRIVATE ADVENTURE SNORKELING - explore Half-moon reef & Coral Mountain

Good overall experience with Obird Tour. The staff were friendly, professional, and the tour was well organized. The boat and service were good, and everything ran smoothly. However, if you have snorkeled in places like Bali before, you may find the coral reefs here less impressive. The water was nice, and there were some fish to see, but the marine life and coral diversity were not as vibrant as some of the top snorkeling destinations in Indonesia. Still, it was an enjoyable day and a good way to explore the islands around Phu Quoc.

OnBird Phu Quoc runs a great snorkeling tour with a strong focus on safety and guest comfort. They picked us up on time from our hotel, transferred us to the harbor, and took our small group of about 10 by speedboat to several snorkeling spots. The first stop had plentiful coral and was the highlight underwater. The second spot was a bit more barren, while the final stop was a beach area shared by other snorkeling groups, with restaurants, restrooms, showers, shaded areas, plus a complimentary fruit plate and beer. What stood out most was the staff. I had a few moments where I felt nervous, and they were always close by, reassuring, and attentive. I always felt safe with them. One recommendation: bring or rent a long-sleeve swim shirt. After snorkeling, we had small itchy welts that likely could have been avoided with better protective gear. Overall, highly recommend OnBird for a safe, professional, and enjoyable snorkeling experience in Phu Quoc. The water was beautiful and warm!

Our guide Patrick was engaging, witty and attentive, making sure that we were comfortable with the equipment and safety requirements. We opted for a private tour which allowed us to dictate the amount of time we spent at the last stop. Fish and coral variety was beautiful, the entire experience was perfect for us and our teenagers!

This operator is what you want when snorkeling in open water. Quality gear, quality boat and careful and caring staff, they care about you and they care about the reefs and areas you are snorkeling in. They understand that things are finite. Mr Bean, Alex and 3rd guide were all excellent, knowledgeable and caring and safety was a high priority. Would love to do more of the tours they offer.

Great snorkeling trip. I had been diving the day before, and was somewhat disapointed, as there was not much to see. During the snorkling trip we saw beautiful corals and some fish. The guide Taddy was great, knowlegable and safety consious. Nice to be in a small group!

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I really wanted to write this one! I joined with my parents, both in 60s, and It was their first island-hopping tour. We signed up with a mix of excitement and concern. The day before the tour, the team checked in about our health conditions and even asked for our eyesight details to prepare properly fitting snorkeling gear. Honestly, I’d always found snorkeling equipment from other tours unhygienic and almost brought my own — but this was by far the cleanest and most well-maintained gear I’ve ever seen on a tour! The guides gave detailed and kind explanations about how to wear the equipment, swim, follow the route, and even about the fish and coral living around each island. Since it was a small-group tour, one guide stayed with each team the whole time, constantly checking in and assisting — my parents felt completely safe and were able to truly enjoy themselves. You could really feel how much the staff love Phu Quoc and its nature, and that made us trust and follow their guidance even more. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a hopping tour this much before! Another great point — it wasn’t run by a Korean agency, so we could fully immerse ourselves in the local nature safely and authentically. (Korean-run tours usually just say “please put on your gear and go in,” and that’s it.) The reason I’m leaving such a long review is because I genuinely hope this company continues to grow and succeed, so that more people can experience the beautiful nature of Phu Quoc for a long time to come! If you’re bringing kids, parents, or it’s your first time snorkeling — book this tour without hesitation!

It was a great experience. The Guides were very friendly and equipments were top-notch. Pickup and drop was on time and the speed boat was also good.

Can't praise these guys enough, they think of everything so you don't have to. They even supply top quality, optically correct masks. Their gear is great, makes a huge difference to the experience. Also, they're aware of the environmental implications of what they do, including the harm sunscreen can do to the reef. We learned a lot from John's thorough briefing, and picked up some great tips and hacks. Thank you so much, our trip was one of the highlights of our holiday.
