Blue Dolphin Diving Center in Elounda is the ONLY organization offering organized snorkeling trips to the sunken city of Olous for more than 5 years. We made a huge research about the history and the remains of the city, which will be presented to you with a Power Point presentation at the beginning of the program. Our snorkeling trips are guided by professional snorkel guides who also can teach about different snorkeling technics. There is no better way in exploring the sunken city of Olous!

Pleasant welcome with extensive explanations and a piece of history about what you will see underwater. Very educational and accessible. The snorkeling itself was very nice and went under the guidance of 2 experienced guides. The sunken city requires some imagination, but the guides give extra explanations above water and point out what to look at underwater with a stick. Also seen various beautiful fish and other marine life. For a first time snorkeling it was very nice and also very affordable.

We had a really fun morning snorkelling. Our guide was super friendly and interesting. He was really reassuring to a person in our small group who was quite nervous. You don’t see loads of relics, but what you do see is interesting and it’s a morning well spent. Would recommend.

It was a fun snorkeling trip where we got to see the ruins of Olous. There were some cool fish and the guide was interactive and fun. It was my girlfriend's 1st snorkeling trip and she loved it!

Excellent guide, Demetri, who shared the history before the tour so we knew what we were going to see. He set each of us up with our gear, making sure we were comfortable and ready for the tour. We had a perfect day with visibility and saw the lovely ruins. I’d definitely recommend!

Good introduction to Olous by our instructor first so we could understand a little about the history and what we'd see. We were given wetsuits, mask, snorkel and flippers and left from a beach and straight into the water. Beautiful sights to see such as all kinds of fish, as well as the ruins. Our instructors pointed out particular things of interest and made sure we were all safe

Only organized excursion to discover the city of Olous swallowed a few meters underwater and to discover by snorkelling! We were accompanied for this tour by an excellent guide who gave us all the necessary explanations, before and during, to understand what we saw underwater and imagine the city in ancient times. Very surprised that this excursion is not more touristic but it is good for us and the locals who know the site. Many thanks to the team at the diving center who made this experience a superb discovery!!!!

It's a very unique snorkeling experience Staffs are friendly, kids had fun, glad we did it. The only thing is it takes too long to get ready.

Dimitri was a great guide. The dive shop provided good equipment. He had to manage a couple who were not comfortable snorkelling and left early and our family who were quite comfortable in the water. Dimitri was calm and well informed. The snorkel site itself was not that impressive as described. It is amazing to think of a five thousand year old city under the water now but not much remains that’s visible. You must use your imagination quite a bit. The location is beautiful. We had lunch at Kanali afterward which was on the water and delicious.

Unbelievable experience. We were greeted in French with my son by a great instructor. First we had a presentation on the history of the site which later helped us to better understand what we saw during snorkeling. We received adapted outfits before leaving for the tour. A big thank you, my son still has stars full of eyes. I recommend 100%
