Starting from Athens/ your location, we drive westward along the scenic coast of the Saronic Gulf through the ancient regions of Elefsis, Megara Kineta...etc . Duration: 1 hour 30 min drive

The Heraion of Perachora is a sanctuary of the goddess Hera situated in a small cove of the Corinthian gulf at the end of the Perachora peninsula. In addition to a temple of Hera of unusual construction and antiquity, the remains of a number of other structures have also been found, including an L-shaped stoa, a large cistern, dining rooms, and a second potential temple. We booked for a taxi driver and we got a saviour instead. Christos, the man of many wonderful mannerisms and a catalogue of space and time. He knew the distance and time it took to go to random places we named. We went to the Corinth Canal where we stared out to the water and experienced severe vertigo on a rusty bridge. We dodged the swarm of tourists by going to the other side of the bridge. We then went to this small fishing town for a quick stop to look at fishies. Then the main event, the olive oil tasting. We stopped at Kalieleon, this local olive oil factory where we met the most energetic 80 year old that lived off the stuff (literally bathed in it). Sampled a bunch olive oil (not the one he bathed in). After tasting about a pint of olive oil with bread on the side, we went to the gift shop as we watched this guy wash himself in front of us as a marketing stunt. It worked as we probably bought half his shop. Full of olive oil, bread and the promise of longevity, we went to this beautiful lake for a quick dip. We were given a choice of what to do next so we headed to Corinth Castle. The drive up was luxury. Icy cold air-conned vehicle on a 30 degree day passing a panoramic view of a seaside town and many sweaty miserable looking tourists who decided to walk. This great big fortress on a hill overlooking…everything. It had already been a long day so we didn’t stay long, otherwise it would be been a full day of exploring ruins. Stopped for lunch at this cute Greek place with the view of Apollo’s temple before heading back to the best view of Athens to end our trip. The entire trip Christos was a joy to ride with. We did not feel rushed at anytime and the conversation was fun and informative. Christos went beyond our expectations and made sure we were safe and looked after. My only feedback would be at the start, we watched some videos to get us informed of the area. I think we could have skipped the last video as the first 2 was more than enough to get us excited. 12 out of 10 would recommend Christos. I think he could have driven us anywhere and it would have been great.
Christos was extremely helpful and friendly during our day trip. He is very knowledgeable and offered us help beyond our expectations. We had a pleasant day out in the Peloponnese region - I would recommend this tour and his services greatly :) he made our Greece trip a comfortable and happy one.
Though we visited three wineries (two of which were outstanding) we arrived at the olive oil tasting when it was closed. The sign said they were to be open for another hour. This was something that should have been checked before our arrival. we felt that we did not get the package we paid for.
Thank you for taking time to write this review. Your package included a visit to two wineries and one olive oil tasting. Instead you visit 3 wineries (which took longer time) and the olive oil tasting place closed one hour earlier than expected. Thank you again for your kindness
