Next, it will offer you an exciting lesson on the different types of extra virgin olive oil and the secrets to recognize its properties. You will listen to the unique characteristics of each Perniola extra virgin olive oil, letting yourself be captivated by the scents and flavors that intertwine in a real sensory riot. NB: Communicate any allergies and/or food intolerances in advance. The visit could be provided in two languages (Italian/English) due to the presence of visitors of different nationalities.

Let yourself be captivated by a real journey through time to discover the world of Perniola extra virgin olive oil, a family business with 60 years of history spanning three different generations. With this tour you will discover the history of the mill between tradition and innovation and the entire production process that transforms a simple olive into the famous green gold. You will be guided through each phase that characterizes the birth of a quality extra virgin olive oil and you will appreciate every nuance. Subsequently, the Sommelier of the oil will accompany you in a tasting of Perniola oils to introduce you to their organoleptic properties, tasting techniques and food pairing suggestions. To relive the experience at home too, you will receive a 100 ml bottle of extra virgin olive oil to take with you. At the end of the visit, you will be delighted with a 100% Apulian aperitif with delicacies from the area that will combine perfectly with the oil tasting!

Wonderful experience. The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. We got to taste all of the olive oils and they were delicious! Followed by yummy apps and beer. We ended up buying a couple bottles to take home! Would recommend!

I recommend! Very interesting tour with clear explanations and well done illustration videos. Rich and varied tasting of quality oils from this Family Enterprise, and a bonus local aperitif to finish. Very good time with my 12 year old son. Many thanks to Angelica for all this!

Great tour of olive oil production with the machines in front of you followed by tasting of different oils. There is no possibility of explanation in French but the explanation in English is very clear, with videos to make an even more concrete representation. There were only 2 of us during the visit and it was a very appreciable moment. Thanks to Angelica for her sympathy! We highly recommend this experience!

We had the chance to visit the Perniola Oil Mill in Altamura. It was a fascinating experience where we learned so much about the Olive processing to get the best „Extra vergine olive oil“ in the world. Special thanks to Angelica who was so passionate about explaining everything and answering all of our questions. With her brilliant story telling skills she brought the olive processing to live - even though it was not even close to olive harvesting season. The Perniola Oil Mill is absolutely a Must-See in Altamura if you want to learn everything about olive oil. The highlight was the final oil tasting where we could compare the taste of four different oils. Mille Grazie, Angelica and the entire Perniola team for this unforgettable experience!

Thank you for a wonderful tour and answering our many questions, we thought it was well worth the visit and learnt alot. We also loved tasting the variety of oils and coratina was delicious on our pizza and grilled vegetables last night! Also my olive oil body cream smells so good !

We had an excellent tour of the olive mill , tested the olive oils and had some delicious aperitif afterwards. I thought the tour was very well done, she explained things very well and also showed videos of the process to further demonstrate. We bought some of the delicious olive oil afterwards. We especially enjoyed the infused olive oils (they have some olive oils that have real Lemons, oranges, rosemary, garlic, chili, etc - smelled and tasted great) . I would highly recommend the tour

We had a wonderful time at the olive oil tasting. Angelique (sorry if I misspelled!) was a fantastic host who walked us through all of Perniola’s processes and techniques as to how the company processes at the olive oil. I would highly recommend asking for her to be your guide! At the end we sampled a number of the company’s products, including some flavored oils (garlic, chili, orange, lemon, and rosemary) which were unlike anything you can get in the US. Highly recommend this visit!
