This bike tour was an amazing experience. We were very happy to follow Vishnu as our guide in Old Delhi and its Havelies. We felt very secure, thank you Vischnu for your very interesting stories and explanations.
A fantastic early doors bike tour of old Delhi with the exceptionally knowledgable Vishnu. After nine it’s a struggle to walk down these narrow streets and lanes, festooned with the ubiquitous Indian cables overheard, so to be cycling as the city slowly opens it’s eyes is a rare treat. Punctuated with a couple of stops for chai, encounters with goats, monkeys, cows, buffalo and bullocks and topped of with a delicious breakfast of bedmi puri at Shyam sweets. Highly recommended.
Prakash was very knowledgeable and spoke good English I saw the real old streets of old Delhi and had some masala tea. I bought some walnuts too which were delicious. Very good and would recommend this tour
Vishnu was a great guide. He clearly knows his way around Old Delhi and has lots of interesting stories to share. He makes the tour more engaging by asking lots of questions as well. Excellent masala chai and puri breakfast. On the down side - we booked our tour through Get Your Guide and there seemed to be a communication issue. A friendly local near the meeting point helped us resolve things.
I took the food walk tour with tour guide Vishnu, a young guy but a real foody with a lot of knowledge of this old part of town
My partner and I really enjoyed the Old Delhi by bike tour. vishnu was a great guide, and knows a lot. He took us to places we would have never found ourselves and teached us a lot about the city and culture. The early morning start makes it easy to adapt to the city traffic that slowly builds up. But the early morning also makes that Some details of the information that was told did not stick in our memory ;) Tip: please do have some experience on a bike (for us dutchies it was really easy to navigate). And 4 stars because the quality of the bikes /cleaness of the helmets can improve :)
An early morning bike tour in Old Delhi was a great experience. You will see all streetmarkets preparing their daily business. The guide Vishnu was verry helping with information during this different way of seeing this part of town.
What a way to experience old Delhi - highly recommend this tour. Vishnu was a great guide, told us fascinating stories about the city, stopped often enough to check on us and made sure we were comfortable. By the end of the ride I was merrily cycling undaunted in Delhi traffic, although my 17-year old admitted she still found the traffic a bit scary! You start in quiet streets though and Vishnu took as many small roads as possible to get us back to the meeting point. Be prepared for the assault on your senses - you’ll sneeze in the spice market and delight in the smell of roses in the flower market / masala chai came just at the right time and we all decided that we wanted parathas to replace our croissants - we live in france - for breakfast! We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see the real old Delhi and its fabulous mix of different religious influences. Thank you.
I loved this cycle tour of Old Delhi, that started at early dawn with the sun slowly breaking through, and people still huddled around coal fires on the narrow 'galis' -streets. Magical time to see the sun rise over Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and a Golden Temple. Tenzin was a great guide, taking us to the most interesting places the spice warehouse and flower market were highlights. Eating alu puree for breakfast with masala tea, on the side of the street was a very enjoyable ending. The group was small enough for it to be manageable and friendly. It was very safe. No one hassled us.
You see quite a bit of old Delhi in a short time. My wife isn’t that confident on a bike but she was fine on this. Starts early before the mayhem. You have a friendly helper at the front and the back of the group. Highly recommended!
