Description

★We also offer whale watching tours for a limited time from January 12th to March. *Please note that these tours may not be available depending on the weather and sea conditions. Enjoy a fun, affordable, and comfortable dive. We visit two to three carefully selected spots per day in the Kerama Islands, including Zamami Island, Tokashiki Island, Kuroshima Island, and Maejima Island, diving in various underwater locations in search of sea turtles. *Please note that we may not be able to spot any sea turtles. "I want to fully enjoy the Okinawan ocean with a Kerama Introductory Dive!" "I don't have a license, but I'd like to take a peek underwater..." "Can't swim?" "Afraid of water?" "Afraid of heights?" There are many reasons for diving. Most of our customers are first-time divers. Don't worry. Our instructors will gently, carefully, and leisurely teach you the charms of introductory diving in Okinawa (the Kerama Islands). That is our mission as instructors.

Great First Time Experience (4.5/5)

Absolutely loved this experience! I would give this a 4.5/5! Food is available for purchase on board, but you’re also welcome to bring your own lunch. We made multiple stops throughout the day to snorkel and dive, which made the trip feel well worth it. One piece of advice: if you get motion sickness, take medicine beforehand. I kid you not… that boat ride was bumpy! This was also my very first time scuba diving, and I honestly had a great experience. Although the English wasn’t perfect, the instructors explained everything clearly enough that I didn’t feel completely lost. They teach you everything you need to know beforehand, and they stay with you underwater the entire time to make sure you’re safe. During the dive, I got to see so many beautiful fish and even a sea turtle! The snorkeling had a little less marine life, but it was still a lot of fun. In total, we did one scuba dive and two snorkeling sessions. Now, the reason I am giving this a 4.5/5 is because I also rented one of their GoPros. To be honest, I was a little disappointed. I spent part of my dive trying to get it to turn on, and once it finally did, the battery died pretty quickly. They do warn you that this can happen, so thankfully I had brought my own waterproof camera as a backup and ended up liking those photos much better. That said, the staff also take photos and videos throughout the excursion, and their camera quality was fantastic. We received so many great photos and videos afterward that, honestly, you probably don’t even need to rent their camera if you have your own. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this experience and would happily do it again. I’d just skip the GoPro rental next time.

About 3 diving sessions...

About 3 diving sessions each being estimated 40mins within 7 h trip. Boat was having guite much people but that organized after all well in diving locations. Organized lunch was poor would recommend to take in own food. Not much difference between the diving locations.

Fantastic, professional and friendly

This was a fantastic experience with truly wonderful people. We saw whales, turtles and sea snakes (which I had never seen before). Everything was explained clearly if you were an introductory scuba diver or a refresher like me that hadn’t scuba dived in 20 years. They also explained for snorkellers how to fit their mask correctly. And made sure that everyone made the most of their experience. It was all so well organised and friendly, I loved it! Thank you!

Very nice day

Very attentive to people safety (I chose snorkelling). The experience in water felt also safe. The guide gives information about the animals and we could see turtles, many different types of fish and sharks.

Fine.

I would choose another tour, but I can’t compare to other Japanese tours. I’ve been on many dive and snorkeling boats in the past, and they were a lot better. Lacks a lot of boat safety, instruction, information in general. In my experience I’d give this tour a solid C. It was fine.

Operator response

Thank you for participating in the Kerama Islands diving tour organized by Joy Create Okinawa. We will explain the boat and the introductory diving three times: on land, before entering the water, and on the surface. Thank you.
