Oia Sunset Roundtrip Transfers

I paid nearly $100 for this "tour" to and from Oia from Fira to see the sunset. A few hours before the "tour" was supposed to start, I had to call Sunbird Travel Agency to ask when my pickup was. On the voucher it says that they reach out to you ahead of time to tell you what the meetup time will be but they never did. When I called the guy was like: "oh yeah, meet him there at 15:45". At 15:03 I get a message from the driver asking if I can get there at 15:30. I told him I'm not sure but that I'd try my best. He said he can't wait there and that I need to be on time so I rushed myself to the meeting point and made it there a few minutes before 15:30. I ended up having to wait there over 15 minutes until the driver pulled up at 15:45. Because I had rushed, I didn't have time to put on SPF, fill up my water bottle, use the restroom- nothing. The driver then proceeds to pick up ANOTHER FAMILY to take them to their hotel on the way to dropping me off at Oia. He drops off the family (who is also very confused as to why this is a ride-share) and then drops me off at the corner of Oia telling me to "ASK PEOPLE WHERE STUFF IS". The driver also said that someone will contact me to tell me where and when I will be picked up. So I'm wondering Oia with no sunscreen, no water, looking for a restroom and hours pass by and I hear nothing. I try to call the "Agency" but the guy is DELIBERATELY DECLINING my calls. I finally get a message from the original driver at 20:08 telling me that his colleague will pick me up at 20:30. The sunset was just beginning at 20:30. At that point I just wanted to get back to my hotel so I started to look for the driver. The driver sends me a SUPER BLURRY picture of where he is so I had to ask people if they recognize the picture. One restaurant host pitied me and took me to the area she thought the picture might've been taken at and that's where I found my driver. The driver picked up ANOTHER FAMILY on the way back, making sure to drop them off at their hotel before taking me back to my hotel. Essentially, I paid $100 for a ride share service to and from Oia with HORRIBLE communication. I didn't even see the sunset. A private taxi to and from Fira to Oia would be $50 each way and I bet they wouldn't rush me, pick up other people, decline my calls, leave me stranded in Oia, and make me go back to the hotel right when the sunset started. While the owner of this "Agency" was actively declining my calls, I called my hotel in desperation asking them what to do in this situation. The hotel kindly offered to call Sunbird Agency on my behalf to see what is going on. The owner answered my hotel's call and was SUPER RUDE to them over the phone. It was clear he couldn't care less. I'm assuming this owner guy is the same guy responding to all the negative reviews on his page. Either that or he's been letting some 4 year old child log into his account and respond to his negative reviews. If you'd like a taste of how rude, childish, and uncaring this person is feel free to take a look at his responses. They're quite entertaining.

Please read all reviews if you contemplate booking!!! Before we begin we know this was a glorified taxi ride. The confirmation of time and pick up didn’t automatically happen and needed questioning, the taxi turned up at our hotel and had no idea what was happening, he took us to Oia and when we asked about return he said “you arrange with my manager” we tried several calls and messages and had no response so had to arrange our own taxi back. We read the reviews and saw how unacceptable some of the company responses came back (I am not expecting to be treated any better) After several discussions with Viator and presenting the evidence we were refunded for our trip. Please don’t get ripped off!!!!

amazing experience, fairly priced and fast response time, alexander was my favourite driver helped a lot with good locations and great food options. fun to speak to and really helpful around the island and this experience was so much cheaper then the over priced taxis. make sure u book with these guys 24 hours advance.

The communication throughout the experience was poor. I had to contact the operator several times just to obtain pickup and drop-off information. This was advertised as a guided tour; however, it ended up being nothing more than a transfer service. There were two different drivers, and whenever we had questions, we were simply told to call the operator. Overall, we could have received the same level of service by booking a regular taxi.

Kostas mpairamis is a lovely driver. Quite pleasant and safe driving. I enjoyed the short drive with him. He gave me directions and good suggestions as well. Thank to him a lot!

The drive up was informative of the area and the views spectacular. Oia was beautiful! There was a mix up with the meeting place from the driver but they sorted it out. It was a long wait though.

Eddie who drove us to Oia was great, He took Us to old church on the way to Oia and helped take our pictures. He also gave us some background on the Santorini island and volcano eruptions. He was a fun guy to talk to. He also gave us the ride back to our hotel, right on time

Dimitri was good, friendly and easygoing. He gave us some advice on what to do and how to move. The trip was very comfortable
