Art, Politics, and Architecture

Valerio was communicative, knowledgeable, and engaging. We modified the itinerary on the fly as we meandered past Bienniale exhibits, the gondola repair shop, La Fenice, university buildings, etc. His ability to connect Venetian history to relevance of the US electoral system or how the Italian Masters still influence contemporary art made the back road walk enjoyable and educational.

Introduction to Venice

We wanted a brief overview of the major sites in Venice. Sara met us at our hotel and delivered a lovely informative introduction to the city. She also showed us how to comfortably navigate the city on our own. Thank you Sara!

New to Venice

We were running late, so our tour guide Giada was kind enough to modify the tour to something closer to our hotel. It was the first time to Venice for many of my family, so her modifications were perfect, as they filled in some of the history. This was a wonderful experience and Giada was great.

Worth the Time and Money!

This is long overdue! We had a wonderful private tour for our family of four. Out guide was super knowledge and told us wonderful historical and architectural stories that we would never have seen or known otherwise. Brava!!

Roberto was great

My husband had a medical issue about 15 minutes before the excursion. I found a comfortable space for him and met up with our guide, Roberto. I explained that we would need to cancel and he gave me two tickets for the nearest water taxi and walked me to the stop so I could get him back to the hotel as quickly as possible. I very much appreciate his efforts.

Saturday Morning in Venetian

It was like an interesting walk with a friend through her Dorsoduro neighborhood. We chatted, she showed us hidden places and we make a coffee stop in a very typical local place in the sun on a Saturday morning. Very relaxed everything and informative.

A lovely, charismatic Sunday stroll

We spent a wonderful Sunday morning strolling around Dorsoduro with Marzia. She met us off the boat, bought us coffee and then we walked around in the peace and quiet learning about the area and Venice itself. There were some history lessons, cautionary tales, insights about Venice today and lots of smiles. Marzia was charming and if I lived in Venice, we’d go for walks all the time - so you should definitely go for a walk with Marzia too if you have the opportunity!

A wonderful walking tour of Venice

Claudia took us on a walking tour of the Dorsoduro area of Venice. She was lovely from the start and very knowledgeable. It was great to talk about Venice with a local guide who became more of a friend as the tour went on. We have visited Venice many times but we saw new things and learnt a lot from Claudia. We ended the tour on a roof terrace close to the Rialto Bridge. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Thank you Claudia

Great tour of Dorsoduro

Claudia did a great job for us. The tour she prepared was very diverse, walking, great churches, a ride across the lagoon to Giudecca. The two and a half hours went by very quickly. We highly recommend Claudia as a fun, knowledgeable and personable guide.

Perfect Introduction to Venice!

Elena was the perfect guide; when are ferry got delayed, she immediatley offered to meet us at a different starting place, and was there before we got off the ferry. She was engaging and full of stories of the history of Venice. She was engaging from start to finish. We truly enjoyed our time with her and would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Venice.
