Itinerary
Ramboda Falls, at 109m (357ft) high, is the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and one of the highest waterfalls in the world. It is situated in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass
Visita Tea Factory to learn how tea is manufactured in Sri Lanka. You can observe the tea pickers, locally known as 'tea puckers' as they move between the lush green rows along the mountains with their large baskets. Thereafter you will be given a guided tour explaining fermentation, rolling, drying, cutting, sieving and the grading of tea. Finish with a tea tasting process and learn of the history, and why Ceylon Tea is considered among the best in the world.
Visit the highland city that was the premium holiday resort town of the British in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Enjoy walking through the streets with their pretty little cottages, quaint villas and beautiful mansions. Make a memory in the old red-bricked post office as you purchase an inexpensive and colorful postcard to take home or send to your friends. Relax at Queen Victoria Park or on the shores of Lake Gregory.
Gregory Lake was created in 1873 by the British era Governor at the time, Sir William Gregory, supposedly for the purpose of providing electricity. However the lake was mainly used for leisure and recreation after it was built. At its peak of fame, Gregory Lake was the most prominent attraction in the area and was used a place to relax by many visitors.

I have been using the services of Lakpura LLC thrice for our travel to Sri Lanka across central highlands and Southern beaches for 4-8 days. They have been always very forthcoming, diligent and delivers the best experience. Their team is very knowledgeable, special mention for Ashan and Chaithra. They are able to manage the group size (ours being 8-10 people). Will definitely recommend them.
Picked up but driver spoke little English and didn't gave bottled water so we bought ours own ! He drove us quickly to our location so we could do tour of tea factory and enjoy outside before rain came which we wanted. The other parts of the tour were in the rain which cant be helped but as they were parks and a make not pleasant ! They tried to charge for lake but ticket stated included in price the tea tour to pluck and make your own tea great experience for $30 pp Driver acted as we wanted and drive safely and quickly

I definitely enjoyed the tour. Seeing the "Little England" of Nuwara Eliya was interesting. The colonial-style Grand Hotel is a good place to stop off for a stylish tea break I particularly liked the visit to the Tea Factory and Tea Lounge. I paid extra to take a "Tea Safari" ride around the tea plantation and got some up-close tea picking experience, which was good fun. Nilanka did a great job and was very informative. After the tour, he also very kindly drove back to my hotel to return a tour souvenir I'd accidentally left behind in his car. A big Thank You!
We had an amazing experience and we enjoyed fresh tea with chocolate cake on the way. We visited a working tea plantation and factory also. We recommend the hill country tour known as little England.

The driver, Mr Viraj, was prompt, pleasant and made good company along the trip. spoke good English. One of us got a stomach upset so had to go back at lunch time but he was so kind and gave us details of who to contact in our hotel and the hospital if needed. Good day out while is lasted!

This tour was fantastic!!
Our driver had a lot of knowledge of the area.
The waterfall was only a short walk and its surrounds were stunning.
The tea plantation was great. The tour was very insightful, the tea is very good, we bought a lot.
The botanical gardens were nice, even though it has been dry in Sri Lanka they were still very nice.
Lake Gregory was picturesque and we had a ride on the paddle boats on the lake. We had lunch at the Calamander and it was awesome.
All in all a great tour and it was really good to get away from the heat in Kandy city, to the cool highlands.
