Meet your guide Under the Stockzahn fountain, Spitalgasse 5-8, 90403 Nürnberg, Germany
Visit also a neo-classical church – Saint Elizabeth Church, it’s smaller than previous ones, but just as beautiful!
It’s on the way to Saint Sebaldus Church, one of the oldest churches in the city, dating back to the 13th century, which takes its name from patron saint of Nuremberg.
Enjoy Saint Lorenz Church, a medieval church restored after the War. The three-part pipe organ in Lorenz is one of the largest in the world, with 12,000 pipes and 165 registers. You will be amazed by beautiful architecture and stained glass windows.
Start your walking tour Under the Stockzahn fountain, which is next to the Church of Our Lady. It was built in the Gothic style and still contains many sculptures.
Then you will pass the most famous fountain in Nuremberg – Beautiful fountain (Schöner Brunnen). It is 19 meters high and has the shape of a Gothic spire. It’s on the way to Saint Sebaldus Church, one of the oldest churches in the city, dating back to the 13th century, which takes its name from patron saint of Nuremberg.

This is a great walking tour around Nuremberg. Our guide was great at providing history of the churches and cathedrals, as well as providing great historical commentary about the city.
Four of us booked the church tour. Iwona Lompart is the greatest city guide we have had the pleasure to experience so far. Her knowledge of history, art, literature and politics is incredible. She infected us with her enthusiasm and conveyed the story of Nuremberg in a humorous way. Iwona had a folder with maps and pictures to help us understand the development of the city. We found that very helpful. We have not only received a church tour, but also a guided city tour with the most beautiful fountains, bridges and structures. In the churches, Iwona brought the past and the artists of the works to life with her wonderful stories and showed us so many interesting details that we would never have seen without her.
