Laurent (Wally) was an absolutely wonderful tour guide for us! We were visiting Paris and my daughter wanted to see the beaches of Normandy, so we made an easy day trip by train to Bayeux and met Laurent right outside the train station. It was super easy and just one other couple in a small air conditioned van (needed as it was during the Paris heatwave). We brought sandwiches and water with us, and he didn't mind if we snacked in the car as we drove around. I easily get carsick and forgot my meds at home, but I didn't have any issues at all- sat up front and he drove smoothly while he talked. He gave us all the history of the area, the beaches, the cemetery, and of course the war. My daughter was fascinated and we both relearned a lot (and of course learned lots of new things too). We had plenty of time to visit at the stops and didn't feel rushed. We even got to taste apple cider and Calvados at a local vendor in an old castle/farm. At the end, he even gave us a drive tour around Bayeux and restaurant recommendations since we wanted to visit there before we went back to Paris, and that was so helpful. Would 100% recommend this 1/2 day trip and even more so, having Laurent as your guide!! Well worth the small cost for 5 hour trip!
Pauline was wonderful. Her passion and knowledge really showed. The tour was just perfect for our family with three kids. We absolutely loved it
Our guide was Manon and she was excellent! She was extremely knowledgeable and gave us information about the Normandy invasion that we hadn't known before, which made it much more relatable. Manon was pleasant, professional and obviously cares about what she's doing, we felt fortunate to have her as our guide!
Our tour guide, David, was very knowledgeable! He gave us so much information during the 5 hours we were together, allowing time for us to ask questions. David interacted well with us all, and was a safe and thoughtful driver. The vehicle was air-conditioned, so comfortable on such a hot day. The whole tour was well constructed and I recommend it to other visitors wishing to learn more about D-Day.
Pauline was a tremendous guide! Very knowledgeable and excited to share her knowledge with the group.
David is an exceptional guide. He knows history and has an engaging storytelling style. He takes the time for all guests and adjusts and accommodates based on interest and time.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and charismatic. We spent a week in Paris, and this was the highlight of our trip! Took a train from Paris to Bayeux and back and although it was a long day, the sites and all of our stops were emotional and something I will never forget. Highly recommend!
Most awesome and powerful . Normandy cemetery is something to behold. Easy to walk and enjoy. I would recommend to everyone who visits France.
Was great information and not rushed
