Amazing experience! Our guide Pierre was so eloquent in describing the various historical events while at the beaches/sites and while driving the day went so quickly. We took the train from Paris and were picked up right outside the station and brought back in time to take the train back. My family said this was their favorite tour of our time in Paris!
Hi, Thank you for your kind review! We are very lucky to have Pierre-Alexandra in our team indeed. We hope that through his knowledge you were able to gain a good overview of the events that took place here in Normandy on the 6th of June 1944. Thank you for booking with us! Kind regards, Lucie from Bayeux Shuttle
I can wholeheartedly recommend the "Normandy American D-Day Experience" tour. However, a tour is only ever as good as its guide, and in Fred (Frédéric) we had an extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and motivated guide. Fred used the time on the bus to explain background information and important details. Thanks to his extensive knowledge, he was able to answer all the questions from the tour guests to everyone's satisfaction. You see a great deal in a single day, and at some sites there's almost too little time, but this tour gives you a very good insight into the events of June 6, 1944, on the beaches around Bayeux.

Our guide, Charles, was exceptional. His depth of knowledge, passion for history, and remarkable ability to connect with everyone in the group made the entire experience unforgettable. What could have felt like a long eight-hour tour flew by because every story, every stop, and every explanation was engaging and meaningful. This trip was especially important because I brought my 15-year-old son, who has always been fascinated by World War II, particularly the events of D-Day and the Normandy landings. Charles brought history to life in a way that no book or documentary ever could. Charles was attentive to every person in the group, answered every question with enthusiasm, and made everyone feel included. His storytelling, compassion, and respect for the history of Normandy made the day incredibly moving and memorable. If you're considering a D-Day tour, I cannot recommend Bayeux Shuttle highly enough. This wasn't just a sightseeing excursion—it was an educational, emotional, and unforgettable experience that we will cherish for years to come.

Frederic was fantastic and gave us the perfect Normandy experience. We had our children and 4 grandchildren who had never been to Normandy before and Fred had more knowledge about D Day that we had ever heard before. He studies constantly and obviously loves his job. I have kept his contact information to share with friends. We all cannot recommend him highly enough.

Touring the Normandy D-Day sites has been on my radar for a long time. Everything about the tour was exceptional, starting with our guide, Marie, who kept a running historical dialogue while she drove us to each site. She related twists of history and conditions faced by Allies and strong leadership and will led to positive outcomes. Seeing the bluffs at Omaha Beach soldiers had to scale, the many obstacles facing the troops, the town where paratroopers landed, and the commemorative monuments was so moving and meaningful. We entered the U.S. cemetery as a fallen soldier's family was visiting and the national anthem played. That and the field of graves was particularly moving. Throughout the area, churches portrayed plaques and stained glass tributes to the Allies. There was such pride in the U.S. being part of an alliance fighting for liberty and democracy against Fascism.

Our tour guide Irene is excellent and very knowledgeable of everything. The tour is great. However, two of us came down with stomach flu the night before and couldn’t make the trip in the last minute. The rest of us could still make the tour. We kindly asked for refunds of the two unused tickets, even with partial refunds is greatly appreciated by us for their understanding of our unfortunate sickness situation, but they firmly refused.
Hi, Thank you for your review and for your kind words about Irene. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour. We're also very sorry to hear that two members of your group became ill. We understand that this was an unfortunate and unexpected situation. However, as outlined in our booking policy, refunds and amendments must be requested at least 24 hours before departure. We received your request approximately two hours before the tour began, after all tour arrangements had been finalized, and were therefore unable to provide a refund. That said, we did our best to assist by providing documentation that could be submitted to your travel insurance provider, as travel insurance is often designed to cover unexpected situations such as illness. We appreciate your understanding and wish the affected guests a speedy recovery. Best Regards, Deborah from Bayeux Shuttle
