Nizwa Fort-Nizwa Souq-Birkat Al Mouz-Jebel Akhdar - Private Full Day Tour

We had an amazing day exploring Oman with our guide, Khalid AlRaqadi. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much great information about Oman’s history, culture, traditions, and daily life throughout the entire tour. He answered all of our questions with patience and made every stop even more meaningful by explaining the stories behind the places we visited. His passion for his country really came through, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for Oman than we would have had on our own. We highly recommend Khalid to anyone looking for an informative, enjoyable, and memorable experience in Oman. Thank you for making our short visit so special!

In the end we changed to the Wadi tour to go swimming as it was very hot in July - our tour company were fantastic in just arranging the change for us with out any bother. Our guide picked us up early at our hotel to beat the heat, we stopped off at a cafe to sample traditional Omani tea (sort of like Chai) and we drove in a very comfortable air con vehicle. Our guide provided a good commentary on life in Oman, the country, history and points of interest along the way. We arrived at the Wadi and there was a small stall selling plastic phone protector covers, renting life jackets and you could buy or rent swimming shoes to protect your feet. There was a couple of simple cafes for drinks etc and of course water. There are changing facilities and toilets etc. We walked for about 40 minutes then we swam in the beautiful blue water along the amazing rock cliffs and through the gouges, we reached a huge cave with waterfall. Our guide was amazing showing us everything and ensuring our absolute safety. After about 2 hours we return to where we had left our bags and he had fruit and cold drinks for us to recover and then walk back. Our tour then headed to the Sink was probably less of interest but an amazing geological phenomenon. The journey from our hotel and back did consume a lot of the day but our guide was wonderful and we were very comfortable. We arrived back at our hotel having enjoyed a great experience.

We were collected on time by driver & guide Khalil. We had a trip planned to Nizwa & Jabal Al-Akhdar for our family of 3 with our 2 year old daughter. Khalil was very professional and was well spoken in English. We first arrived at Nizwa and was given the option to roam free for 1-2 hours, which was enough time. We then went to Jabal Al-Akhdar and had lunch with a stunning view. The tour continued for another two hours where we stopped at view points and were given a guided tour of the area. Thank You for your excellent service Khalil and making our trip safe for our daughter.

The itinerary was great and Ahmed was such a wonderful guide. We saw and learnt so much, not just about the area we visited but also about Omani people and culture because Ahmed was warm, friendly and engaging. He was also a great driver. We thoroughly recommend this tour ! Thank you !

All day trip, pick up & drop off at hotel. Adjusted the tour to accommodate I was staying in Nizwa vs Muscat. New, clean comfortable car, great driving, overall enjoyable experience specifically Hamood, the guide. Very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. But also with Mohamed, the owner adjusting for the custom pick up location and Analiza handling all the planning & booking details. Exceptional experience all around. I would work with them again when I return and would highly recommend to family & friends.

The ride there was super comfortable. All thanks to our bus driver Tarique. The fort was beautiful and Hamood explained us the history very beautifully and patiently. He managed our time perfectly so we could have a really great time.

This visit was an excellent experience, especially the time spent at Nizwa Fort and its souk, which was one of the highlights of our stay in Oman. The atmosphere of the souk, the architecture of the fort and the authenticity of the place made this visit both fascinating and enjoyable. What truly made the difference was our guide, Mr Badar Alhasni. He shared a great deal of knowledge with us and took the time to explain many aspects of Omani culture, traditions and history. His explanations were clear, interesting and always adapted to our curiosity, which made the visit very enriching. We especially appreciated the moments of discussion and exchange with him where he helped us better understand daily life in Oman, local customs and the historical importance of Nizwa. His approach was friendly, engaging and never rushed, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for the whole family. This visit was both informative and enjoyable, combining cultural discovery with genuine human interaction. We highly recommend this experience, especially with such a knowledgeable and attentive guide.

A well planned fort that gives you a glimpse into the kind of lives Omani royalty used to live. Also got to try and shop for halwa and dates at pretty fair prices, thanks to Hamood. He took us to the right shops and also gave us a detailed tour of the entire place and made sure he went at the pace of our very large and rather slow group. Really appreciate him!
