Itinerary
07h30 - 8h00: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter for transfer to Ninh Binh. 09h15: You will have a short break of 15 - 20 minutes to stretch your legs, use the facilities or have a quick snack.
10h30: Visiting Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from years 968 to 1010. Then you will visit the Temple of Dinh King and Le King to learn more about Vietnamese history under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties.
11h15 - 11h45: It’s time to join our 30 minutes cycling activity to discover the life of the local people. Or stay behind and either relax in the restaurant for sightseeing and capture the views around lake, waterfall and valleys. 12h00-12h45: You will have a lunch with local specialties in the private area of our Trang An Heritage Garden. The vegetarian option is also available.
13h15 - 13h30: Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on the land”, where you will spend 1.5 hours on the boat to explore this area. On this excursion down the Ngo Dong River, you will pass through the beautiful paddy fields, limestone karst formation, and a stunning cave system including Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba caves for a unique experience.
15h30: We continue to visit Mua Cave and climb 500 steps to reach the peak of Ngoa Long Mountain, overlooking the amazing view of the city and Tam Coc below.
16h30 - 17h00: Transfer back to Hanoi. 19h00 - 19h30: Drop you off at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter

This trip was amazing! Our tour guide, Two, was the most accommodating tour guide I have ever experienced. He let us exchange our currency with Vietnamese dong from his personal money, helped us get fair prices on souvenirs, and worked hard to keep us comfortable all day. The views were also amazing and we appreciated the diversity of experiences this tour offered. The VIP bus was one of the best we’ve been on with great AC, working WiFi, and even reclining seats.

Loi is a good guide. Overall good experience and sharing of the ancient history of Hoa Lu. Will be better if the tempo can slower so it does not feel we rushing for time.
Really great day organised well by Mr Loi. Highlights were the beautiful boat ride and the Lotus lake - truly stunning Good lunch and frequent stops to break up the journey. Recommended.

The tour was fantastic. The ancient capital temple was an interesting start with Loi giving good explanations of the history. Then going biking thru the countryside was breath taking, while thankfully not too hot or difficult. Lunch was great I enjoyed everything on the buffet. The riverboat was my favorite part. It was so calm, tranquil, and romantic. The mountain hike was pretty intense. My wife and I were soaked in sweat, but the view was worth it. Thankfully we brought clothes to change into. My wife liked this trip even better than the trip we took to Ha Long Bay. Loi was fantastic as a guide. Very understandable, he took nice pictures, and even gave us all a video of the day.
