The Palace of Carlos V is a Christian construction. It began to rise at the beginning of the 16th century. At this time, a new artistic style came to the Alhambra with force: the Renaissance. Never far from criticism, this palace is one of the symbols of the Reconquest and the triumph of Christianity.

On this tour you will visit the Alhambra with an official guide from Granada. You will be able to delight yourself with the art and architecture of this ancient Muslim city and learn the stories of the sultans who dominated the ancient kingdom of Granada. The Alhambra is located on a hill called Al-Sabika. At first it was a military fortress but over time it became a palatial city full of water and gardens. The architects of the time made unique palaces in the world capable of withstanding the passage of time and arousing the admiration of everyone who enters their interior. The history of the Alhambra is also part of the history of Spain, since the last Nasrid sultan, Boabdil, decided to hand over his city to the Catholic Monarchs Isabel and Fernando, thus ending 781 years of Muslim rule in the Iberian Peninsula.

Don’t miss this experience of the Nasrid Palaces with Juan - spectacular!

Juan and his evening tour was nothing short of fabulous! He went to every length to ensure we were able to join his tour at the last minute, and it was amazing. The night tour is a peaceful experience, with small groups and respectfully quiet in the Palaces. Juan easily switches between Spanish and English to cater for our little group and we went at a leisurely pace not feeling at all rushed. He is incredibly knowledgeable and respectful of the history, as well as having a great sense of humour. Thank you again Juan, our 4 hour day tour you managed to book us in to was brilliant also!
