Description

PANORAMIC FRIGILIANA: Three hundred meters above sea level and with a subtropical microclimate, we find Frigiliana, noted for its lauded and award-winning Historic Center, of Moorish heritage, where narrow, winding and steep streets form a unique urban latticework of small houses. There we will have free time to walk its streets before leaving for Nerja. PANORAMIC NERJA: It has a long history proven by the paintings found in the Cave of Nerja, discovered in 1959, which could constitute the oldest rock art images in human history. Under Muslim rule, his name was Narixa, meaning “abundant source” and is the origin of the current name. Free time to tour its center and admire the Balcony of Europe, its Museum and its Multiple Churches. Our expert guide will accompany you and give you the relevant directions to enjoy Frigiliana and Nerja, two beautiful villas of Moorish heritage.

Confusion-long time with pick up

Pick up at hotel is the best option, but you could have to calculate with more bus stops than usual (we spent 1:15hour only to Malaga). Stop in Frigiliano was too short 1hour as was writen in description. Stop in Nerja was too short (3h without cave, 2h wit cave + 1cave entry) Cave entry - we got ticket with addititonal posibilities to enter, but we didn ´t get time (~45min). The Nerja stop was big confusion, no info if we can leave our clothes on bus and after short 1hour stop we will continue to the cave… We got this info after we stayed at the square/balcony. Conclusion: You spend more time on a bus than spend it on interesting places.

Operator response

I’m really sorry that you’ve got the wrong impression. Our advert states that we start picking clients up in Fuengirola at 8.10 am and finish in Málaga at 10.00 am. We also clearly explain what the tour involves and how long we’ll spend at each location. We also offer private tours – with no stops and tailored to the customer’s preferences – but the price is ten times higher.

Definitely one of the best day trips on the Costa del Sol!

We loved this tour of Frigliana, Nerja and the Nerja Cave. The only problems were caused by Viator (who we'd booked through): the Viator agent directed us to a pick-up point 15 minutes from our hotel when the bus was also picking up at our hotel, and he told us the cave was included in our tour. Luckily, the tour guide, Nathalie, saved the day by getting us into the cave (we paid the additional cast), and it was amazing!

We're really sorry you had to wait so long, and we're glad that, despite everything, you enjoyed our tour with our wonderful guide. Thank you for your review.

Good trip

It’s a good trip but caves have lots of steps which are not well lit so can be difficult for older people

Organised, fantastic tour with stunning caves. Recommended.

I booked to go to the caves at Nerja with my partner & our baby & 5 year old but due to my partner's work, he couldn't go so I went myself with the children. The cancellation policy was easy for his ticket & I got it refunded no problem. The bus stop was clearly communicated to me prior to the trip & was within 5 minutes walking distance from our hotel. They checked our name on boarding to make sure nobody is left behind. It was air conditioned & comfortable though no toilet on board so make sure children go before boarding. The tour guide Michelle was very friendly & chatty, knowledgeable on local information & very helpful with the children. The bus took a while to pick up more passengers from different stops. Frigiliana is a beautiful town, worth seeing & had lots of little shops selling art etc. The town before we went to the caves (Nerja?) was lovely, we had time for lunch, nice photos & back to the bus to head to the caves. No buggies allowed so I carried the baby on a hip strap & held my 5 year old's hand as there is loads of steps throughout the cave so be wary of footing. The cave is absolutely breathtaking. By far the most beautiful natural environment I've ever encountered in my life! Like an underground cathedral, it is majestic. I could go on & on about how beautiful it is, I cannot recommend it enough. I was in awe! Photos don't do it justice either. I was disappointed that the caveman paintings were not accessible to the public though. The bus back was quicker returning, a long day alone with children but people on the bus were friendly & helpful too. Excellent tour, absolutely recommend.
