Riding with Niko

This was the best tour in Nassau! Niko was amazing, full of knowledge, very considerate, fun guy and made it the best day ever! Even tho it rained, Niko still made it a fun adventure and returned to locations once it cleared up. His knowledge about the history of the island is commendable….we learned so much! From famous rum cakes, to eating at the fish fry, we will cherish this experience for life!

I would give it 3/5 as overall it was good. Nikko our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He responds well to all of our questions. As a solo traveller, I feel safe with this tour. The van had good A/C as well. The downside of the tour is that we missed three spots. We were supposed to spend time at Junkanoo beach, but we just passed by it. Given the prices of gas and the commodities in Bahamas, despite how relatively short the tour was, i think the price is reasonable. Not mad about it. I had a good time overall anyways

Exceptionally

We had a great time. Our tour guide Niko did an excellent job, showing us around the island, he also shared some important facts about the Bahamas. Great time and a great vibe

Underwhelming

Our pickup was easy and convenient, although we did have to wait in the vehicle for about 20 minutes while our driver stepped away. Once we got going, our driver was friendly throughout the tour. Unfortunately, the tour itself was underwhelming. Many of the stops seemed centered around shopping opportunities rather than sightseeing. For example, the rum cake factory and tea shop were advertised as places where we’d receive complimentary tastings, but those tastings are available to anyone who walks in without booking a tour. At nearly every stop, there was an expectation that you’d purchase something. We never felt pressured, but it definitely seemed to be part of the entire experience. The Queen’s Staircase was nice to see, but it’s also a location that’s easy to visit on your own without paying for a guided tour. Overall, Nassau just wasn’t a destination that stood out to us. We didn’t find many memorable attractions, and we don’t feel the need to return. If we visit again on a cruise, we’d likely skip the tour and either spend the day at the beach or simply enjoy the ship instead. The cost for the tour was not worth it for our family.

Won’t Repeat

Our driver was very friendly and very helpful, but we booked this excursion based on its offering of WiFi and air conditioning. Neither were working.

Our guide was late to...

Our guide was late to start the tour. I had to borrow a phone from another company's tour guide to call the company because there was no communication about him being late. He started off nice and friendly, but as the tour progressed he told us fewer and fewer things. At one point we had to stop for gas (which was a bit strange but okay) and I asked about if the gas stations on the island were all required to be full service, and I got a very gruff one word answer. He spent a lot of time complaining that we weren't very responsive to him, but then when we would ask questions he would give very short answers. We only saw one fort, and I know that one is under renovations currently, but then that should be disclosed in the tour info! No clue what happened to that third fort. We never stopped at Junkanoo Beach either. There was a waterfront view from Fort Montagu, so at least we got some beautiful scenery there. The rum cake factory was very rushed, and I figured we wouldnt see much of the baking process but I barely had time to make a decision about what to buy to take home for a souvenir. The Queen's Staircase and John Watling's Distillery were both great, and the guide at the distillery taught us more in 8 minutes than our Viking guide did all day. The food at the fish fry was good but very expensive. $100 USD for three people to eat basically pub food is ridiculous. I wanted to learn more about the history of Nassau, and we did learn some things but it was very obvious that as the tour went on, our guide lost interest in his own tour. Also the van's air conditioning barely worked and the included bottle of water was given to us warm, even though he had to stop at a store to get the water. I'm glad I brought water with me and a fan because otherwise I would have melted in the heat
