I had an incredible half-day safari at Nairobi National Park, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip to Kenya. I booked the tour online for around USD 60 (excluding park entry fees and taxes). The park entry fee was USD 80 (excluding taxes), which was paid separately at the national park. The safari started early in the morning, and my guide, Francis, was already waiting at my hotel before the scheduled 6:00 AM pickup. Being punctual is always appreciated, and it set the tone for a smooth experience. I was traveling solo, but that didn't make the trip feel lonely. There were four other travelers in the vehicle, each from a different country, with most of them coming from Europe. It was interesting sharing the experience with people from different backgrounds who were equally excited about wildlife. Our goal for the morning was to spot the Big 3—lion, rhino, and buffalo. Although we couldn't find the buffalo, the safari was absolutely worth it because we were lucky enough to witness a lioness with her cubs, along with rhinos. Watching lions in their natural habitat is something that pictures and documentaries simply cannot replicate. It was a truly unforgettable moment and easily the highlight of the safari. Francis deserves special recognition. He has an impressive amount of knowledge about the animals, their behavior, and the park itself. Don't hesitate to ask him questions—I certainly did, and he patiently answered every single one. His passion for wildlife made the experience even more enjoyable. Another thing I really appreciated was his photography skills. He knew exactly where to position the vehicle and happily helped everyone capture fantastic photos. Some of my favorite pictures from Kenya were clicked by him. The safari concluded around 11:00 AM, and Francis dropped me back at my hotel before 12:00 PM, exactly as promised. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and professionally managed from start to finish. Overall, I had a fantastic experience. If you're visiting Nairobi and have only half a day to spare, I highly recommend this safari. Seeing a lioness with her cubs alone made waking up early completely worthwhile, and with a knowledgeable guide like Francis, the experience becomes even more memorable.
Excellent, reliable pick up and great guide Eric. We were picked up right on time, great communication beforehand. We got to the park right on opening at 6.30 am and were one of the first in, best time to see it. Lucky enough to see a Lioness 🦁 stalking. And of course the beautiful Rhino 🦏 ❤️
Excellent Tour. Eric was an excellent guide. He picked up us at our property on time, was professional and ensured that we got to see lots of wild life.
Excellent guide Éric! Very précise and accurate describing all animals and stopping whenever needed. He picked us on time went fast and safely on roads. Gave briefing and spotted several species Payment system failed for park entrance fee...and booking website shall precise that the entrance fees of 80$ highest ever paid in kenya.
The experience was very good. Saw various animals and birds and Francis, the guide explained everything very well.
Very good experience. Francis is knowledgeable of the animals and very friendly
Francis was an awesome guide. Really friendly and lots of good info about the animals. He tried hard to find everything and we saw it all apart from the lion.
