At Hypocenter Park, you can see the exact location where the atomic bomb exploded in 1945. Walk around the monument and learn about the tragic events and the impact on the city. It’s a place to reflect on history and gain a deeper understanding of Nagasaki’s journey toward peace.
At the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, you can explore exhibits detailing the events of August 9, 1945, and the impact of the atomic bomb on the city. See photographs, artifacts, and personal stories that illustrate the tragedy and resilience of Nagasaki’s citizens. It’s a place to learn, reflect, and gain a deeper understanding of history and the importance of peace.
The observation deck offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in Japan, often called the “10 Million Dollar Night View.” From here, you can enjoy a stunning overlook of Nagasaki’s unique harbor and surrounding mountains. Even during the daytime, the scenery is beautiful and provides a perfect photo opportunity.

Dejima was a small artificial island that served as Japan’s only gateway to the outside world during the period of national isolation. At the observation points, you can see how it was once separated from the mainland and learn about its role in trade with the Dutch and the exchange of culture and knowledge.
Visit Meganebashi (Spectacles Bridge), one of Nagasaki’s most beloved landmarks. Its twin arches reflected in the river create the shape of eyeglasses — a perfect spot for photos and a peaceful stroll through the city’s historic heart.

Pickup Locations & Times
Pick-up is available at any location within 2 km of Nagasaki Station. Unfortunately, we cannot provide pick-up outside this area. For guests arriving by cruise ship, we will pick you up at Matsugae International Terminal (Sasebo port is not available). If you are staying at a hotel, we will confirm the hotel name. Other meeting locations can also be arranged. We will exchange contact information via WhatsApp in advance and coordinate the details before the tour day. On the day of the tour, I will be holding a sign with your name to welcome you.

We managed to see all of the included sights as anticipated. The Atomic Bomb museum is certainly a must while visiting Nagasaki, and the incredible views from the ropeway and Mt. Hiro and Vichka provided a private, customized, English speaking tour of the highlights of Nagasaki. It was fantastic!!! From pickup to each of these points of interest: The Peace Park, the Hypocenter Park, the Atomic Bomb Museum, the beautiful and breathtaking views from the Mt. Inasa Observatory, the Megane Bridge and the Oura Cathedral with a bit of shopping at the end of the tour was all that we could have asked for in a four hour tour.

I had chosen to book an excursion to Huis Ten Bosch Theme Park in Nagasaki with a large cruise line, and that excursion was canceled without notice at the last moment. My heart was set on visiting the Theme Park, and so I immediately began researching companies with which I could arrange a private tour. From the very start, my communications with Nagasaki Private Tours were thoroughly-detailed, professional & prompt. All of my (many!) questions were answered, and I was shocked to find out that I had actually been communicating with the CEO of the company, Hiro! I completed my tour today & my assigned guide, Hiromi, was excellent! We enjoyed our tour of Nagasaki with our guide, Adrianne. She met us early at the Sasebo port and drove us to Nagasaki where she started the tour at the Peace Park. She was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and interesting. She provided the right amount of information for us, showing us things we would never have noticed if on our own. She showed us all the highlights of the city at a comfortable, relaxed pace. She fit in everything we wanted to see before returning us to our ship in plenty of time before we set sail. We had a wonderful tour of Nagasaki by our tour guide, Adrianne. She met us at the port of Sasebo on time and drove us to Nagasaki where she expertly guided us to all of the highlights of the city. We toured the Peace Park, getting us there right at 11:02 when the bomb was dropped. She pointed out all of the highlights and took pictures of us. Then she took us to the hypocenter and showed us the ground level after attack. We then visited the museum and she explained all of the highlights. Afterwards she took us to the top of the tallest mountain overlooking Nagasaki for absolutely stunning views. She took us to the shrine gate that was still standing after the explosion and then to the oldest bridge in Nagasaki before returning us to our ship in plenty of time to set sail. We couldn’t have had a better day in Nagasaki!

We booked our trip already for our visit to Nagasaki, Hiromi met us on time, very friendly and patient when Hubby took a long time in the peace museum.
