This is a great tour , Barbara was great she had you experience with the use of all 5 senses in culinary experience
Gina did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the history of Nafplio. We stopped at 3 places. People were all very nice.
Don’t let the deceive you this tour offers so much more than food. Our guide was a pure delight who entertained us, educated us on Greece & provided very interesting sites to see. Although the tour was based on food we found that food, traditions & culture are all related. Our guide provided an experience we will never forget.
Nafplio and Jeanie(sp?) are a good combination. Great information, good food and great drinks. Take home some Olive Oil, it's good for everything.
We had a fabulous tour with Gina. Great historical overview of Nafplio and wonderful food and wine experiences
Gina was great! Gina has a wealth of knowledge about this area and shared it with us as we sat, and tasted Greek coffee, Greek desserts, Greek cheese, Greek meats and Greek wine. The lemon gelato was amazing! Come hungry… We made the mistake of eating a like breakfast and weren’t able to finish all that was presented to us.
After a bit of confusion on where to meet (the link to Google map pinpointed meeting in the middle of a parking lot about a 2 minute walk from the tender, which was NOT the meeting place) our guide found us waiting at a nearby hotel. Maria, our guide, was outstanding. We went to a local cheese/meat/jelly shop a liquor store and an outside Cafe All of the food and drinks were beyond yummy. I highly recommend this tour
We made four stops sampling Greek coffee, homemade ice cream, some artisanal Cheese and Greek wine. It was a well paced tour.
The tour was amazing! We knew nothing about Greek food and customs before joining Gina. She was a wealth of knowledge, warm, friendly and refreshingly honest. She introduced us to Demetre, a wine expert, who had a TON of great info. to share. We could have easily spent the day with him! We ended the tour meeting George at his family run deli. He was, again, full of wonderful info. specific to cheese making. All in all a wonderful afternoon! I HIGHLY recommend it!
