Itinerary
We visit the grand Mysore Palace and spend the next couple of hours in this wonder built in Indo-Saracenic style with a blend of Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles of architecture. The Palace is a three-storied stone structure, with marble domes and a 145 ft five-storied tower. The guided tour will take you through the Public Hall, Private Hall, Dolls Pavilion and the Royal Wedding Hall.
Next in our tour to Mysore, we visit Devraja market, the charming old bazaar of Mysore. Its a sensorial delight made up of flowers, vegetables, fruits, jaggery, onions and potatoes, puffed rice and coconuts!
We visit St Philomena church. Built in 1840, earlier it used to be called as the St. Joseph Chavez, which was later changed to its present name. Initially a small church, it gained its present form in 1933 during the reign of Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV. In 1843, Mysore King Mummadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar built the church so as to cater to the needs of the European people who were residing in Mysore then. Today, it is the second largest church in Asia.
Guests have a choice in this tour to choose either Somnathpura or Srirangapatna (Dariya daulat Bagh & Bailey Dungeon). They can update their choice during the booking under remarks. Somnathpur is famous for the magnificent Chennakesava temple. It has been declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO. This temple was built in 1268 by Somanatha, a general of King Narasimha III. We will explore the three shrines and three wonderfully carved peaks with a common Mandapa. Time will be spent appreciating the 16 different ceilings, each depicting a different stage of a blooming banana flower, the central wall space adorned with images of deities with jewellery, bangles, crowns and anklets.

I had a fantastic tour in Mysore with Shiva and Purushotam. Shiva was an outstanding guide who knew everything about the sites we visited — Dariya Daulat Bagh, Bailey’s Dungeon, Mysore Palace, the marketplace, and Chamundeshwari Temple. Purushotam was a safe, reliable, and friendly driver who made the journey smooth and comfortable. Highly recommended — they made the experience truly memorable.
Amazing experience with Manjunath. He is a very open and sunny person and I totally recommend this tour especially with this guide!
Guide Shiva and Driver Mohan was very good and made this memorable for my guest. Thank you very much
Had a brilliant day touring Mysore Palace & Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan with guide Devakar who made the day so easy & enjoyable. Well worth it & would highly recommend.
Chethan and Bharat Kumar were absolutely incredible tour guides. From the pick up from hotel in Bangalore and seeing the sites in Mysure. Full of interesting and engaging facts we were entertained throughout the day. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who has a full day available. Traffic was navigated well. The palaces were incredibly busy but we were dropped off outside each venue and didn’t have to wait long at all. The lunch stop was fabulous and authentic. The car was high standard and great air con!
Our group of 5 colleagues took a day trip from Bangalore to Mysore with Shiva as our guide. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very funny. Shiva handled all the logistics smoothly while giving us flexibility, shared interesting history, and made sure all of us had a great experience. Comfortable vehicle and an stress-free day. I would recommend Shiva and this tour company.
Perfect driving, punctual, always smiling. Bharath naturally adapts to his passenger, never too talkative, never too quiet. In a country of 1.4 billion people where navigating daily life can be overwhelming for a foreigner, Bharath is simply indispensable. He knows every shortcut, every local spot, every unwritten rule of the road and makes it all look effortless. He introduced me to authentic local food and shared his culture with rare generosity. Unforgettable moment: when he found out I was getting married soon, he called his wife and kids on FaceTime to congratulate me. That says it all. Thank you for your kindness
We had a fantastic time with Shiv on the Mysore trip. He was super friendly, and very knowledgeable, providing our group with lots of interesting facts. We stopped for lunch, which was delicious. A memorable and thoroughly enjoyable day out.
