The tour starts with a visit (photo stop) to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - quietly imposing from the outside, this glorious piece of modern Islamic architecture was a gift to the nation from Sultan Qaboos to mark his 30th year of region. Outside visit only.
Next visit is the Royal Opera House (photo stop) Outside visit

A stop at Muttrah, the main port area, leads to explore an ancient and colorful Souq, named as Mutrah Souq which is known for its handicrafts like silverware, daggers, traditional cloth, in addition to the famous Omani sweets (Halwa), spices and braziers (receptacles in which incense or frankincense is burned)

We had a wonderful evening exploring Muscat on a night tour with our guide, Mazen. The city looked absolutely stunning as it lit up after sunset, and the views were truly memorable. Mazen took us to many of Muscat’s main attractions, including the magnificent Grand Mosque and the impressive Royal Opera House, both beautifully illuminated at night. Mazen’s knowledge of the local area made the experience even more enjoyable — he shared fascinating insights about Omani history, architecture, and culture throughout the evening. Our visit to Souq Muttrah was another highlight, where we wandered through the bustling lanes and sampled delicious traditional Omani sweets — a real treat! Everything about the tour was perfectly timed and thoughtfully planned, and Mazen made sure we were comfortable and relaxed throughout. It was a fantastic way to experience the charm of Muscat by night, and we would highly recommend Mazen to anyone visiting the city.
It was a really good experience with Khalid . He came before time and gave us sufficient time at all places covered on this trip. His friendly and humorous way of introducing us to Muscats scenic/historic locations helped us enjoy this tour.

Khalid was a great guide, very attentive and provided a lot of information about Oman and its culture. He drove very well and the vehicle was comfortable. The tour itself was interesting and good to see Oman at night. I think it is worth visiting the landmarks during the day too. We passed by a famous restaurant where everything was chosen by Sultan Qaboos. I dined there the next evening and it was delicious! I would recommend this tour on your first day in Muscat.

We went to this tour right after arriving to Muscat and it gave us exactly the information that we wanted to get! We also enjoyed the Souk, our guide explained to us how to negotiate the prices.
We booked this evening tour in Muscat. Mr. Khaled is very nice and friendly. He took us to all five places and explained everything about Muscat, Oman, and places we visited. He is very knowledgeable and answered all our questions patiently and in-depth. Our tour was supposed to be 3 hours, but our tour took more then 3.5 hours. To top on that, he also took us to a local coffee shop and gave us an authentic Omani break (with honey and cheese) and tea. Take his tour, you will have a great time!
