Itinerary
we start this tour in Chokramudi Peak is a unique and less explored place realatively. It is one of the highest peaks of Munnar in Idukki district of Kerala. Situated at an altitude of around 7,200 ft, it stands isolated from other hill ranges. This peak gives the most spectacular view of the tea plantations, Idukki Dam and the Anamudi Peak. With it's incredible view, the Chokramudi Peak actually lies in the Eravikulam National Park so the Forest Department will have some formalities to be fulfilled before starting the trek. Since it is located in a national park, the hill is filled with lush evergreen Shola forest, and the park is home to one of the largest number of animals such as Nilgiri Tahrs, Gaurs and Asian Elephants.
Final part of this tour we reach pothamedu view point,,This Viewpoint is one of those places in Munnar which fills you with refreshing vibes. A never-ending cover of tea plantations, evergreen meadows and cars turning cautiously on the winding road below is the scene you witness. It offers a panoramic view of Munnar and the surrounding hills covered with coffee, cardamom, pepper plantations and tea. You trek your way through them to reach the vantage point.

Great excursion and guide. We were taken thru tea plantations and up to view points. The guide was great with excellent English. Easy communication via what’s app
Yesterday we did the evening sunset trip with Kumar as part of our honeymoon holiday in Kerala from the UK. It was our first day in Kerala and we had a brilliant time. Kumar taught us so much about the history of the tea plantations and his local village and gave us some lovely tea and snacks when we reached the view spot. On our way back we had a really close encounter with a Gaur which was very lucky! It was such a great evening and I would 100% recommend booking this experience.
We went for the evening trekking with munnar valley tours and found them with postive reviews and guide provide to be very knowledgable on plants and view was amazing. The walk itself was scenic and amongst nature which was very pleasant. We had snacks at the top of the hill before trekking down into the forest and back into the town. All questions were answered by the guide and we really enjoyed our time here.
Beautiful 8 km / 5 mile round trip with 200+ m net vertical, mostly plantation dirt roads except for a short steep/narrow stretch through tea bushes, then a narrow trail on a mountain ridge with distant views, but some stretches near dropoffs so uncomfortable for acrophobes like me. Friendly, experienced guide.
Amazing! As a solo traveler I was very happy to join a small group on this evening trek. Every bend brought more and more beautiful views, and our guide Kumar was amazing. He is so kind and generous, he answered our questions and brought us to the best places! Even on a cloudy evening, it was well worth it. I highly recommend and now I’m sad I don’t have more time to join other adventures!!
It was incredible!! Our guide, Praveen, was great! Even though it was raining, the expirience was fantastic!! The best thing to do in Munnar
Amazing hiking tour in Munnar! The scenery was beautiful and our guides Arun and Praven were very knowledgable and gave us a lot of interesting information about the area. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side so we did not see the sunset and even though it rained all the way down, we still had a great time!

Very professional guide , evening hike was very nicely arranged by munnar valley trekking & tour. Our guide was really good and took us safely. He also spoke about the local flora, fauna, and customs. The hike was through some tea plantations then highlight was sunset from mountain as well as natural forests with panoramic views
