Multi Day Private Tour of Sri Lanka

During our recent trip to Sri Lanka, we booked a van with Hassa as driver and guide. It was 6 days trip to Trincomalee and Sigiriya. We were picked from Colombo airport at midnight and dropped back to same place on 6th day. It was all-inclusive package, very economical, luxury van and above all Hassa was not only great driver but a very resourceful guide. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic driver, Hasa, for our family tour with three small children, and we can recommend him without reservation. Our six-day route (end of May 2026) took us from Colombo through Habarana and Gal Oya to Kalkudah on the east coast. The contact was very professional from the beginning. Even before the trip, he was always reachable via WhatsApp, answered all questions, and assisted us with booking a safari. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed with shell necklaces. The vehicle was in top condition, very clean, and equipped with an excellent air conditioning system. Good child seats were available, the Wi-Fi in the car worked reliably, and the driving style was very pleasant, safe, and at a good pace. During the trip, he made helpful suggestions for activities and was always punctual, attentive, and very flexible. Overall, a perfectly round service – we would travel with him again at any time.

We travelled around Sri Lanka with Hasa during our family trip and couldn’t have asked for a better driver. He was always punctual, drove safely, and made the whole journey feel very comfortable. He really went the extra mile to support my dad, helping with arrangements as he finds it difficult to walk long distances, which meant a lot to us. Hasa was friendly, easy-going, and gave great suggestions along the way. Highly recommend Hasa if you’re visiting Sri Lanka!

We had a fabulous 15 days in Sri Lanka (february 2026).Thanks to Hasa. We thank him for his kindness and flexibility. He gave us excellent advice and even acted as our guide at some sites. He was very attentive to our requests (restaurants, shows, hikes, etc.). He is a very caring person, especially with our two daughters, aged 5 and 7. We are so glad we met him and highly recommend him !!

The tour was great value, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer driver/guide than Tony. Our car was comfortable, driving was safe, and we were always on time. We were able to arrange our own accommodation which suited us, while Ruhiru arranged some of the activities at our request. What you do need to know though is that the itinerary description is really a list of possibilities, from which you can select what you want. It's probably not realistic to expect to do everything in the list. Also there's a kilometre limit above which you need to pay extra. I'm not sure why the tour description couldn't say this - in the end it wasn't a big issue for us, but good to know so that you can manage expectations.

We had a great time with Nadeep, he was such a kind man and a good driver, always tending to our needs.

Myself and two friends were planning a 21 day bird-watching trip to Sri Lanka we decided a car and driver hire would give us the flexibility to go to the necessary places we wished to visit. I chose Ruhiru Tours after looking at a few different companies online. Hasa from Ruhiru Tours seem happy to provide the service we were looking for despite us only have a fairly vague itinerary. The price he quoted us seemed excellent value, and as it turned out it definitely was! We were met at the airport by our driver Nadeep, he was very welcoming and spoke very good English. We were soon off to our first nights accommodation, the vehicle was a 6 seater minibus which was great, giving us plenty of leg- room and more than enough room for all our birding equipment. After arrival at the accommodation and settling in we agreed with Nadeep the plan for the next days birding. Nadeep returned the next morning at the agreed time and we set off for our first full day of birding. This set the pattern for the whole trip, nothing was too much trouble for Nadeep he was always on time the interior of the vehicle was always clean and tidy. Nadeep was very patient enduring long hours waiting for us to return from our birding walks, he soon became the fourth member of our team and firm friend, rather than just our driver. I would sincerely recommend Ruhiru Tours to anyone planning a trip to Sri Lanka, the service was second to none! The value for money was excellent. We were able cover the all the bird-watching areas we had planned to visit, covering around 2000k and amassing over 240 species of birds at a fraction of the cost that the dedicate bird-watching companies are charging. Really enjoyed our 6 day tour with Hasitha at Ruhiru Tours. We started in Mirissa and then went to Udawalawe National Park, Lunugamvehera National Park, Haputale, Ella and Galle. Hasitha planned many interesting stops each day and was flexible with our requests on what we wanted to see. He also arranged our safari tours as well as airport transfers. Would definitely recommend!

We were a group of six and spent 18 wonderful days traveling with our driver, guide, and friend, Hasa. From day one, he was always punctual, professional, incredibly helpful and drived very careful. He assisted us in organizing safaris, visits to botanical and spice gardens, trips to Polonnaruwa, and much more, and he consistently recommended excellent restaurants along the way. We traveled in a Toyota van that was in excellent condition—very comfortable, spacious, clean, and well maintained—which made long drives pleasant and relaxing throughout the trip. Hasa has a great sense of humor and shared a wealth of information about Sri Lanka, its culture, and its people. He also helped us with practical matters such as money exchange, making our trip completely stress-free.
