Mt Batur Sunrise, Breakfast & Natural Hot Springs

We hiked Mount Batur with Maanwiss, and it was an unforgettable experience, perfect for our honeymoon. Maanwiss is an exceptional guide: professional, thoughtful, and incredibly friendly. He looked after us with great care throughout the entire trek, making the climb both enjoyable and safe. Maanwiss was our guide. I struggled to hike the steepest parts of the hike and our guide was so thoughtful and kind. I might have given up on completing the climb without his friendly encouragement. He made the experience totally worth the workout. The sunrise was spectacular. I really appreciated his humor and enthusiasm. Definitely a memorable experience for my bucket list. I’m so grateful to Maanwiss and would highly recommend him.

But Maanwiss was determined to do whatever it took to help him experience the sunrise. He motivated both of us the whole way up and, for the last 15% of the climb, literally helped me push and carry my dad to the summit. That level of care and dedication is something you rarely come across. Thanks to him, I got to experience one of the most beautiful sunrises of my life with my dad. We’ll never forget it.

Our guide, Agus, was lovely! He was learning English still, but very kind and patient during the hike up the volcano. The breakfast was as promised as well 😁 The bonus was, it was just the 2 of us with the guide. The main issue we encountered was waiting over an hour in the freezing cold after the given start time for a response from the organiser - we texted and called to no result! He "wasn't aware we booked" as it was 8 hours prior and we would've been stuck after driving through the night if Viator support hadn't woken him up! A very close call.

Couldn’t recommend this experience enough. The whole team was amazing. One of my favorite things I did in Bali.

Cannot fault this tour. The climb whilst challenging in places was overall a moderate difficulty. The paths were well defined and there were plenty of opportunities for breaks. The view at the top was spectacular. Maanwiss (Our guide) was also perfect. He took time to ensure we were okay, his timing of breaks was impeccable and his photography skills were incredible. Whilst we set off earlier then some other tours it meant we stayed ahead of larger groups so we're at the summit with plenty of time before sunrise. If you are considering the sunrise walk I cannot think of a way this tour or Maanwiss could have been better.

The volcanic hike to the Batur was a great experience for the whole family. Our guide Maanwiss was really great, very friendly and motivating. Our daughters (5 and 9) made the climb well, even if it was exhausting. Important: Clear the route beforehand!

Maanwis made the tour great! He was such a fun and positive person. He made us breakfast and was supporting us and motivating during the hike. He was telling us different stories about the volcano and Bali. I really enjoyed the tour!

We did the Sunrise trek and found it to be an amazing experience. We were apprehensive about the early start after we booked but certainly didn't regret it. Our guide Maanwiss was super friendly and knowledgeable. He kept checking in to see how we were going as well as explaining many things along the way. The trek itself was mildly challenging but that is the point. The reward at the end was more than worth it. The beauty of the scenery and the awesome power of nature in this ancient yet still active volcano was humbling. Fellow trekkers we met at the top only added to the special nature of it all. Would definitely repeat the experience.
