It was the most difficult climb I did in my life!! Keep in mind you will be going up at night , they give you a flash light , but it looks like a toy more than a real one! Take one! Or even better the one you put in your head so you will have hands free for walking sticks!! (You need them) I was surprised people did not have them and it was very difficult and rocky the climb, get ready for 5 hours going up, with very short breaks to drink water , I am 61 years old and I trained for 3 moth to go up!! It was for me a espiritual experience and I was saying prayers while I was climbing , but there are beduins with camels walk next to you trying to rent you the camel , although I said no thank you , they do not let you go, they insisted for hours!! Very annoying , then you have to climb 750 rocks steps , camels can not go up at that point !! They have 3 guides , one in front with the fast and youngest people , one in the middle , one on the back ,, with the slowest. In the last two hours I did not see nobody !! And we were 5 or 6 lady’s going up ourselves ! No guides, and some beduins offer help but for a fee… their flashlight do not work at that time ! On the top you can rent a blanket to go even higher to wait for the sunrise ! I recommended you rent it because it’s very cold and windy , I took a poncho with not weight and wind blew it on my face !!!!… I recommended go to the Sinai mountain, not necessarily this tour. Take good highking shoes, walking poles, head flashlight , cash money , good layers clothe and good coat!! I washed an amazing sunset there , but too much time to enjoyed it because you have now to get down!!!, I paid a beduins to help me with the 760 steps going down and I got the last camel to get to the Catherine monastery where the rest of the group was !! If I come back I will hire the private tour to go during day time and enjoy the place not just trying to find the rest of the group!!
Hi Mariela, First of all, wow! Climbing Mount Sinai at 61 is an incredible achievement, and we are truly honored that you chose us for such a "once in a lifetime" spiritual experience. Your determination is inspiring to our entire team! We also want to thank you for your honest feedback. Providing a seamless experience is what we strive for, and we’ve taken your notes regarding the guides’ positioning and the Bedouin interactions very seriously. We are already reviewing our coordination on the trail to ensure our guests feel supported every single step of the way, especially during those final hours before sunrise. We love your practical tips! You’re absolutely right—good hiking shoes, a headlamp, and layers are "must-haves" for this trek. For your next visit, we’d love to arrange a private day-tour for you as you mentioned; it’s a completely different (and much more relaxed) way to soak in the beauty of the monastery and the mountain at your own pace. Thank you for being part of the Sharm Station family. We hope to see you again soon for a new adventure! Warm regards, The Sharm Station Team
We were supposed to have a van for 6ben8instead of being loaded into a late arriving bus. We were supposed to have the Italian-speaking guide and he wasn't there. The Bedouin guide who accompanied us on Sinai was bstat embarrassing the only blast era.quellomdinfarci stop along the way nx buy local products. We arrived among the last emails on the summit when everyone had already occupied the best seats thanks to the continuous stops of the Bedouin guide. An experience that wasn't supposed to be mystical turned out to be a nightmare
