Get ready for an unforgettable adventure starting in Catania! Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, is waiting for you to reveal its secrets. Accompanied by an experienced local Guide who knows every corner of the area, you will immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Etna: you will discover its ancient history, explore the unique flora and fauna and witness extraordinary geological phenomena. After a comfortable pick-up, your journey will start heading towards Trecastagni where a local organic farm will be waiting for you, where you can taste the typical products of Etna.
Once the tasting is complete, we will head towards a captivating volcanic cave, fully equipped with helmets and torches, which will be provided free of charge by the guide, for an adventure that will feel like a journey to the center of the Earth.
To conclude in style, we will reach Rifugio Sapienza, located on the southern side of Mount Etna. Santi is an excellent guide. Very friendly and he made a big effort to create a nice atmosphere between the eight people on the excursion. He is also a pretty safe driver from what I have witnessed from trips to Italy in the past. The trip takes you up to around 2,300 metres above sea level. I particularly enjoyed walking in a lava tunnel. The boots and helmet supplied on the trip were essential. I hit my head on the tunnel roof four times but thanks to the helmet I was fine every time. Seeing the lava trial on the volcano sides was also fascinating. There was also beautiful scenery and the sunset was nice. The price was reasonable for a trip of six and a half hours. I highly recommend this excursion.

Nice trip with a cute guide, perfect for those who do not want to get rid of the huge budget and who want something quieter. We were also described the biology around the different layers of nature in relation to height and explained about the origin of etna and how different natural phenomena arise around it and affect it. It was some really good prospects and it was delicious to be driven around to the different stops.
