Great experience! Tour guide was awesome! We got many pictures of wildlife. Sense of community was developed between all on the trip. Views were breathtaking.
Our guide Alex was great. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and kept it interesting. My. Blue Sky was beautiful. It was a great day!
Phil was an incredible tour guide! We had a small group of 6. We made new friends and memories to last a lifetime. Perfect amount of time spent at each location :)
Absolutely wonderful experience! Remember to be prepared for cooler temps and altitude. They did have some coats if you don’t have warmer /wind gear with you. Our guide Will was exceptionally knowledgeable on so much information.
You will see snow, many animals (if lucky). We were the day we went up the mountain we saw about 20 mountain goat, 2 big horn sheep, and several marmot which are so cute! Our driver Alex was the best. He was very informative and answered everyone's questions. The little town Idaho Springs was hopping with lots of restaurants and shops. On the way home the traffic was heavy so our driver took the fast lane to keep us on schedule we appreciated that greatly. Thanks for a perfect trip!
The guide was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and made sure our experience was great! It was a good tour if you are not up to making the hike and want a guided tour in a comfortable van.
So glad you had a great tour! It's fantastic to hear your guide was awesome and knowledgeable, ensuring your experience was top-notch. We're happy we could provide a comfortable, guided way to enjoy the scenery!
Super awesome!! 10/10 experience. Both relaxing & thrilling! Our tour guide was super nice & we learned new things about the animals & environment. The Pikas were so adorable!!!
Thank you Marie! Pikas are the cutest--so glad you enjoyed seeing them!
Tour was great, and a chance to see before they close it for one year to fix the roads - however having said that, the tour guide rushed us. 90 minutes at Idaho Springs for lunch! We were all bored standing around. We weren't even provided options to stay in this park longer since it was a once in a lifetime (for me) to take photos on the summit and absorb the landscapes! We got back to Denver 30 minutes before our said arrival! Which could have given us that time. The tour guide either was rushing on their own personal matters or perhaps was so used to doing this, we were just another "load" to unload. Previous tours I took all came back around 6:30pm. And there weren't that many stops on this tour. It was ridiculous. Never again with Colorado Sightseer
I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with the timing of this tour. While we do have tours that last until 6:15/6:30pm, this one gets back to Denver at 4:15pm which is usually enough time for guests to take in the views as you are correct. Glad you were able to see Mt. Blue Sky before it was closed. Additionally Kristi, You do not seem to remember everyone was given extra time at the top, we are usually up there for 40-45 minutes (so people don't get sick) but being the last day and everyone tolerating it well at elevation we stayed up there for 60minutes. Everyone (including your sister) were back at the van loaded up and ready to go on time, but the guide had to run around the summit to find you as you were over 10 minutes late coming back to the van(after the additional time). Guests were given 90 minutes for lunch and shopping in the historic town of Idaho Springs because it was Labor Day weekend and the town was packed and guests need enough time to eat in crowded restaurants. The tour returned back to Denver at 4:40pm, almost 30 minutes late. Future note for you: When you are on a group tour it is polite to return to the van on time at stops so everyone is not waiting on one person and the tour can stay on time.
We had a great time with Matt the tour guide! We started out on the tour as strangers but quickly got to know the rest of the folks and had a great time! Would definitely book again.
We took this tour last week, and it went way beyond all our expectations! Will was an amazing tour guide, keeping us informed and entertained by his commentary along the road. We started early in the morning and drove straight up to the summit of Mount Blue Sky. There was a short optional hike to reach the peak. The view from there was surreal, and according to our guide, one third of Colorado is visible from up there. Afterwards, on the way down, we stopped at both Summit Lake and Echo Lake. The sights all around were beautiful! Next, we went to Idaho Springs, a small town in the mountains. There were many gift shops and restaurants to choose from, in addition to a visitors' center. After having enough time to eat lunch and explore the area, we headed back to Denver. All in all, this tour is one we definitely recommend!
Thank you so much Rochel! We appreciate you taking the time to leave such a wonderful and thorough review! It sounds like you had a great day on the mountain with Will - come back and see us anytime!
