Morning Tibetan Cultural Tour. Departure: 05:30 a.m. Join the Tibetan Cultural Tour in Pokhara with Mr. Thupten Gyatso, a knowledgeable guide. Gain insight into Tibetan culture, religion, and refugee life in Nepal. His passion for sharing Tibetan heritage ensures an enriching exploration. * Visit a Tibetan Refugee settlements near Pokhara valley. * Attend early morning Buddhist monk prayer chanting with the monks and hear the horns, drums, conch shell, trumpet, bell etc used during the prayer. * You will walk around the village and see how people live their daily lives.

* You will visit a beautiful Buddhist monastery where you will meet with a young monk eager to share insights into monastic life and education. * Interactive Experience: Feel free to ask questions to deepen your understanding of Buddhist traditions and the monks' daily lives. * Capture the Moment: You're welcome to take photos and videos during your visit, capturing the serene beauty of the monastery and its surroundings.
* You will visit another Buddhist monastery and learn the meanings of different Buddhist signs and symbols that are so important in their daily life such as prayer wheels, prayer flags, stupas, etc. * We will enter inside the monastery learn and see things inside the monastery. One can also take photos and videos inside and around the monastery.
Our tour guide Mr. Thupten will take you to the another Tibetan village where we will discover below activities. * You will walk around the village and see how people live their daily lives. * Explore Tibetan Schools and their educational system. *Visit a carpet workshop to see how Tibetan carpets are made by hand. Our tour guide Mr. Thupten, will take you through the process, explaining each step in detail. * Visit the carpet showroom to explore a variety of Tibetan carpets with unique designs and colors. * Discover the history of Tibetan refugees at a photo gallery. * Meet a Tibetan doctor and gain insights into Tibetan medicine and have first hand experience of pulse reading. * Enjoy an authentic Tibetan lunch at a local restaurant. *We also provide gluten-free food such as plain rice and veg/non veg curry * Return back to lakeside at 2 pm. We had an incredible experience whilst in Pokhara with our guide Thupten. We were new to many concepts in Tibetan Buddhism and culture and through his tour we had interesting discussions with both him and the local community. It really was an experience that broadened my mind and left me wanting to know more. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wishes to learn about Buddhism and Tibet.

It was a an excellent tour, especially for those who are new to Tibetan Buddhism and the situation of Tibetan refugees. It was very informative with lots of interesting activities. Thupten was an excellent guide; he explained things very clearly and was very engaging. We enjoyed the prayer chanting. The breakfast was great with delicious homemade bread. We found it very interesting talking with a young monk. Thoroughly recommend the morning tour - or any of Thupten’s tours.

We had a beautiful morning learning about Tibetan culture and history with Thupten. We highly recommend booking one of his tours. He was very knowledgeable and the tour allowed us to have traditional breakfast at a Tibetan family home, attend morning prayer and chanting with Monks, and speak 1:1 with a monk about his life experiences. 5 stars! A must-do activity when visiting Pokhara that is suitable in any weather. Booking was really easy through WhatsApp.

This is an amazing tour. To explore and understand Tibetan culture and settlement in Pokhara. Visiting the Tibetan village and tried out their food. It brings you so close to their daily life and cultural. A wonderful experience! A total immersion in Tibetan culture with our guide Thupten. It's definitely worth a visit with Thupten a well of knowledge and a real passion for sharing ... we started our visit with morning prayer in a Tibetan Buddhist temple! An unforgettable sensation!

Thupten was a very informational guide and was extremely hospitable. His deep knowledge of tibetan culture and buddhism was eye opening, and changed my outlook on life. I have gained a greater understanding of tebetan culture, and I have agained a deeper appreciation for the lifestyle and history of Tibet. This tour was amazing! I read about it in the lonely planet and was looking for some cultural thing to do around Pokhara so went by there office and booked the morning tour for the next day. Thupten, the guide, was just wonderful. He was able to tell me a lot of things about the history of Tibet, current situation and Buddhism in general. I didn’t expect a lot but got one of the best tours I have ever done. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for cultural education about Tibet and Buddhism.
