Its entrance allows you to live a real tango night in the historic Baar Fun Fun, an icon of Montevideo since 1895, managed by the fourth generation. The experience includes access to the legendary Baar Fun Fun, table reservation, glass of Uvita, typical bar drink and live tango show with professional dancers. The Baar Fun Fun, named Cultural Heritage of the city, has been declared of Tourist Interest by the Intendence of Montevideo and Cultural Interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture, in recognition of its historical, cultural value and its living contribution to the Montevidean identity. The tables and the historic counter were attended by key figures of Rio Plata tango. Among them Carlos Gardel, who visited the bar in 1933, during his stay in Montevideo, tried the traditional Uvita and according to the history of the place, even went as far as singing informally for those who were present. That anecdote is now a living part of identity and mystique.

Very fun and excited! Tango is beautiful, but very fast. Soon there is a band singing Uruguayan and international songs very good! It's worth it and uvita is a delight!
Tango dancing couple on small stage were highly skilled & entertaining. Two singer guitarists followed and a fun sing along. Great ambience. Ordered my veg meal separate to ticket and tasty. Friendly & efficient service. Complimentary uvita 22% alcohol & advisedly slowly sipped! Highly recommend & as a solo met other travellers
