In the heart of a 1300s village, you will discover the history and a family where the Nobile di Montepulciano will be the protagonist. Enjoy the tour that will take you from the winery to the vineyards. In this experience you will be guided on a walk among the rows of 50 year old Prugnolo Gentile and Sangiovese and among the oak barrels of the aging cellar dating back to 1300, where the native Rosso di Montepulciano "Dogana", the Nobile di Montepulciano "Maestro", the elegant Nobile Riserva and the Terrarossa are still produced. At the end of the visit you will have the opportunity to taste 6 labels in a unique place: the panoramic terrace overlooking the beautiful vineyards of the estate and a 360 degree view of Montepulciano.

On a hilltop in the very best winemaking part of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, in Valiano a small and charming village that is encountered along the road from Montepulciano to Cortona, sits the centenary winery, surrounded on all sides by vineyards that radiate out from the winery. In 1300, the estate was the heart of the historically important Fattoria di Valiano farm. Located on the border between the Papal States and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and overlooking the Val di Chiana, the estate has witnessed major historical events, including the famous reclamation and drainage of the Chiana valley. This spectacular feat of engineering and hydraulics was initiated by Leonardo da Vinci in 1500 and later developed by Antonio da Sangallo. Val di Chiana, in the most fertile area of Tuscany. In the clay soils surrounding this area, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, a great Italian wine from the smallest Tuscan appellation, is produced.
We will tell you the story of our company, we will tour you among the vineyards explaining the different varieties, you will continue with the visit of the cellar, where our wines are born through the techniques of vinification and aging in oak barrels. Montepulciano was a stunning area. The vineyard was really nice. The wine expert was nice enough. We were asked to move dates which we did. Unfortunately this was not arranged for when we arrived on the day. So we actually did not get the tour only the wine tasting. So we missed out on all the information we were actaully interested in. Real pity and when I let them know afterward, whilst my message was read there was no reply which is very unprofessional, dissapointing
