Itinerary
Arriving in Perast, boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks island
The legend has it that the island has been made over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and the Child on the rock in the sea on July 22, 1452. Upon returning from each successful voyage, they laid a rock in the Bay. Over time, the islet gradually emerged from the sea. The custom of throwing rocks into the sea is alive even nowadays. Every year on the sunset of July 22, an event called "Fašinada", when local residents take their boats and throw rocks, widening the surface of the island, takes place. Besides the church from the 17th century, there is also a museum of gifts which were mainly donated by sailors and captains who had lived through the storms, battles, and long time at the open sea.
We visit the main square in the middle of Perast with the church of St. Nicola’s and its impressive 55 meters high belfry. From there we continue our walk for about 1 kilometer along with the waterfront, admiring the beautiful architecture from the 17th and 18th centuries, until we meet the vehicle waiting to take us back to Kotor.

Igor, our guide from 360 Monte was outstanding. He was very warm and friendly and accommodating to our group's goals for the tour. He was very knowledgable in the history of the area. Kotor and Perast were absolutely beautiful areas. It was well worth the excursion! I would definitely request Igor if I was touring again!
We had an amazing day with Slavko! He was knowledgeable and all the area. He recommended the Bert restaurant and even took us back to the area to get back on the boat!
Very personalized, tons of information with a very informed guide. Views are stunning. If you have time, visit the photo spot up the hill going up the valley.
We loved Nadja! We took a private tour of eight to Kotor, Perast, and Our Lady of the Rocks. Nadja had a great smile, infectious laugh, and was a wealth of info. Additionally, she had great driving skills. Montenegro was definitely the prettiest stop on our cruise. Totally unexpected. Thank you Nadja for making our day in Montenegro so special!
Milosh was a wonderful tour guide...knowledgeable and professional. He was friendly and had a sense of humor
Nadia was an excellent guide! She made Kotor memorable for us with her knowledge and warmth, showing us both highlights and hidden gems. Highly recommend!
A very nice excursion. Our guide, Igor, was very good , full of information and quite helpful in helping to skip lines. Another huge advantage of a private tour. We went to Perast and to an elevated photo op location. The traffic on the main (only) road connecting to the port is awful, the only downside of the trip. But Igor kept us entertained. Highly recommend.
What a fantastic tour and fantastic guide Nicholas made this an unforgettable experience. He is very knowledgeable about the whole area and while the tour has a itinerary, Nicholas is very accommodating if you want to tweak the itinerary Highly recommend
We had a wonderful tour of this beautiful city. Our tour guide Milo, very knowledgeable, provided us with a great mix of history, folk lore and arts-culture. He was very responsive to our questions, accommodating with our pace and preferences. Highly recommend this tour :)
If arriving by cruise ship, see if you can find out if this is a tender port. We were a little delayed getting off our ship, but our guide (Igor) waited for us. He was an excellent guide with a thorough knowledge of the history of his country. We enjoyed his love and enthusiasm for Montenegro. We saw Perast, Kotor, and took a short boat ride to get to Our Lady of the Rocks. We skipped the longer drive (45 minutes) to Budva due to our tardiness. It all worked out just right in the end. We would highly recommend this tour for any visitor to the region!!!!
