Fun for the whole family - a river tubing adventure Jamaican style! Enjoy an approximate 45 min scenic drive to the tubing river where you’ll be given a short safety briefing. Then hop on your inner tube for a fun journey downstream. Glide across mild rapids surrounded by greenery, traveling as the Spanish once did when they arrived in Jamaica hundreds of years ago. Your river guide will entertain you until the end of your journey where the river runs into the Caribbean Sea. You will then be taken to Bamboo Beach Club for some fun in the sun. Relax on a complimentary beach chair and enjoy light entertainment and fun cocktail demonstrations. You'll be treated to a selection of house beverages including rum punch and lemonade. Plus enjoy a 4-course tapas lunch served beachside featuring a menu of jerk chicken, festivals, plantains, banana fritters, and more.

Take a winding journey down gentle rapids of the Rio Bueno river in comfortable inner tubes — a great way to discover the natural beauty of the region! After a safety briefing from your river guide, you will walk across the Irie bridge and along the jungle trail until you reach the launch site. Then you'll slip into the cool water, settle in your inner tube, and wind your way downstream. Relax and take in the gorgeous landscape, admiring what the Spanish first saw centuries ago, and float downstream until the river runs into the blue Caribbean Sea.

Hotel pickup times can vary based on distance and cruise ship pickup times depend on when the ship is docking. Your pickup can be 30 - 60 minutes before or after this time. We went to the Bamboo Beach Club after a wonderful River tubing experience… Our waitress, Rameeka (sp) was a jewel! She made our family day one to be remembered. She was wonderful!, Highly recommend for a great beach day!
Duane and Davian were excellent guides for the tubing experience. The river was beautiful and we had a great time. I highly recommend them. The beach club experience needs work. The food was delicious, but came out too slowly, we waited a very long time for the main course. Please offer water to the clients, it was quite a hot day and we had to ask the staff to bring it. The beach was breathtaking, swimming there was refreshing.
The taxi service was superb with a helpful and informative driverwith a comfortable small SUV. The guide was picked upen-route who repeated alot of the intersting facts that we had already been given, but it was good to see they care alot about there country. The tubing was great fun, wished it had been longer, no waiting and hassle. The Dunns River Falls started with having to wait around to get a guide, it seemed asthough there was only one working. This lead to us being in a group of around 20 so lots of waiting around and being pusged through the conveyorbelt of photos etc. A little disappointed as it took some of the enjoyment asweay having done it before. Finished off at the Bamboo Beach Bar, very very quiet, were put on to the loungers and after 10mins was brought a glass of lemonade, no other drinks offered, brought a starter and then main course which were ok, brought a cocktail that was dedlicious but that was it for drinks, no offer of water or purchasing any drinks, no beach bar was visible. Awkward thoughout and not pleasant.
We enjoyed this excursion. Tee our guide and Valentine our driver were efficient and attentive. Errol our river guide was fun and made the tubing safe. The ride from Montego Bay was close to an hour but worth it. The tubing was in water cold and refreshing. The lunch was good, as was the rum punch. Beach time was appreciated, and Tee brought us our food and drink. A fun time - we would do it again.
The river rafting was quite enjoyable. Our guide Areville was nice and did a good job getting us safely down the river. Water was cool and running well so our trip went quickly. The pickup and return trip to the ship went well with plenty of time to get back not rushed. The problem with this trip - we were taken to Bamboo Beach Club first not to the river rafting as advertised. We were served lunch at 10 AM while other groups were taken to the river rafting first. I expect this was due to the nuber of guests present at one time. My wife and I along with the rest of our group were not ready to eat lunch that early. The food was good with the jerk chicken outstanding. The second disappointment was we were picked up at a alternate landing by vehcile instead fo the video advertised kayak out to Bamboo Beach. If the excursion hd been doen in the order shown in many YouTube videos it would have been much more enjoyable.
The people were great, the jerk chicken was delicious, and the tubing was fun! I gave it a 4/5 because we booked the 10am tour separately from the cruise but still had to take the 7:45am pickup time regardless. Also they served lunch first and having a 7:45am pickup to go straight to lunch at 8:30am was a surprise. If I had known “lunch” was the first stop I wouldn’t have had breakfast. Wish the tubing could’ve been longer.
This experience was great. The river tubing was the best part and our tour guide Roy was a Rey of sunshine. We did the tour with our kids, 10 and 11, and it was their favorite part of the whole trip. Safety was a top priority throughout!
We went tubing and the group of strangers that went with us , started smoking cigarettes, our guide said nothing, then that group started smoking weed and again our guide said nothing , I had to tell them to cut that out , we went to the beach club were our guide left us , we didn’t eat until 10 minutes before we left and then we arrived at our ship with only minutes left to spare. Terrible, terrible, terrible
Driver was nice and tubing was great. Very little communication from Beach Club staff about lunch and drinks. We didn’t receive most drinks. Was not told a time to meet to leave and they were searching for missing people. Overall good day, but some improvements would make it perfect day excursion.
It was a fun day! River tubing portion takes around 45 minutes total with 30 of that on the water. Very nice river guides. Short drive away is the Bamboo Beach club. Nice setup with a beach bar and plenty of places to relax. Food was local flavor and very good.
