Itinerary
You will be dropped off in Piazza Guglielmo II. Here you can visit the beautiful cathedral of Monreale. It has been included in the list of Unesco world heritage sites and is considered one of the most important medieval churches in the world. The mosaics of the cathedral are something simply unique and perfect. It is also possible to access, for a fee, different areas of the cathedral, such as the terraces. Adjacent to the cathedral is the monastery of San Benedetto. The cloister of the monastery has a square plan in Romanesque style, characterized by more than 90 columns decorated with mosaics and Romanesque capitals. In the center of the cloister there is a garden, with a palm-shaped fountain from whose leaves water gushes. Also near the cathedral is the interesting Diocesan Museum. From Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II you can see the Duomo and admire the famous marble fountain called the Triton Fountain. Don't miss the Belvedere!
Castelbuono is inserted in a territory with very ancient origins, that of the Madonie valley. Here you can see the famous and magnificent medieval church of S. Francesco, inside which the Baroque funeral chapel of the Ventimiglia family is preserved. In the church you can admire particular Byzantine frescoes. Unique is also the seventeenth-century church of the new matrix with baroque altars, a fifteenth-century crucifix and the polyptych with the Madonna, Child and saints of the sixteenth century. You will also find the collections of the civic museum with archaeological finds, specimens of plants, insects and fossils from the area. In the main square of Castelbuono, there is the Bar di Fiasconaro. It is the place where it is possible to taste panettone, a typical dessert of the Christmas tradition, redesigned and revisited in a Sicilian key all year round.
The itinerary to see Cefalù starts from Lungomare Giuseppe Giardina and follow it until the beginning of Via Vittorio Emanuele, where the houses begin. From here a walk through the small narrow streets, old houses, shops, restaurants and ice cream parlors. Halfway down Via Vittorio Emanuele is the medieval washhouse, which is accessed through a lava stone staircase. Continuing past the wash-house, you arrive at Porta Pescara, an opening from which you can see the sea. Shortly after Porta della Pescara on your left you will find Piazza Marina with the pier of the old port. From the old port you can see the most fascinating part of Cefalu: the houses with balconies directly on the sea. Continuing on the main street, Corso Ruggero, after a few meters you will find yourself in the town hall square in front of which you can see the Cathedral of Cefalù. The remaining time of the tour will be used to move between the attractions visited.

This was a good way to get an additional three historical sights to those available in Palermo. Fabrice was knowledgeable and sympathetic driver, also the car was very good.
Dear Mikko, Thank you for your kind review. We are pleased you enjoyed the tour and appreciated Fabrice’s professionalism, as well as the comfort of the vehicle. We hope to welcome you again soon. Kind regards,
Monreale Cathedral is awesome, the drive to town was a nice experience in itself. As well the drive up to Castelbuono. The Palace an archeological gem. Cefalù was lovely and the cathedral as well awesome. Our driver was great, on time and very helpful.
Thank you for the fantastic review Tom! We loved being of service to you and hope we can assist you again soon.
This was my favorite tour because I absolutely fell in love with the countryside in Casrlebuono. It had an old world feel more authentic less touristy. Cefalu was absolutely beautiful and Montreal had the most amazing cathedral that I’ve ever seen in all of Europe. This trip just had so many pluses would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The schedule was flawed. There was adequate time for the first 2 stops but not enough for the third. When we got to Castelbuono, the castle ( the primary reason to visit the town) was closed for lunch. Our driver would not wait a half hour to accommodate us.
Dear customer, thank you for bringing this incident to our attention: this is not good and we apologize for having to experience this. We asked our driver why you arrived in Castelbuono at closing time and basically it seems that he took less time than usual for the journey, which is why you arrived much earlier than the scheduled time. We apologize and I am sorry that we were not informed of the situation in time to give you the time necessary to visit the castle. We are doing everything we can to make sure this doesn't happen. Our sincere apologies. Best regards, Alexandra
Mimmo was a terrific driver. He shared his knowledge and Sicilian pride. He was not our guide but definitely provided great information. Suggested a terrific restaurant for lunch.
We’re really grateful and appreciate you taking the time to share your rating with us. We are happy that it was a very positive experience! We hope to see you again soon, Best regards, Alexandra
Our driver Marcello added tremendous value by giving us information about Sicily and the sights we were seeing. He is very professional and accommodating. His demeanour was very pleasant and it was a pleasure to spend the time with him.
Dear customer, with this message we want to thank you and express our full appreciation for choosing our experience. We are happy that you had a good time, The whole staff thanks you! Alexandra
Cefalu was great loved it. We made a change to not go to Monreale since we went the prior day. When the drive took us to Castelbuono the castle was closed and so were the store. The castle closes 1:00-3:30. So we left early.
A great experience with an English speaking private driver who picked us up at our hotel and dealt with the Palermo traffic so we could visit some great locations at our own pace. Then get us back through traffic in comfort to our hotel
