Description
Limited to 1 group private experience! This special plan combines a soba-making experience with tempura prepared by professional soba artisans. You will first experience the traditional 100% manufacturing process. I eat my own buckwheat noodles with tempura. 【Tempura is made by Japanese food craftsmen】 Easy to explain in English and supported by visual demonstrations, it is ideal for guests who prefer hands-on learning to guided lectures. This is not a cooking class for tourists, but a true opportunity to experience Japanese craftsmanship that combines practical traditions with professional skills. This will be a real handmade soba restaurant with a history of over 10 years in Sapporo. We want you to enjoy the traditional Japanese food, soba-noodle making experience, which has been going on since the Edo period (1600)! This trial course comes with tempura. Tempura is a traditional Japanese food, and tempura is also a traditional Japanese food known from around 1600. Soba and tempura have their own unique charms. Soba and tempura are not only delicious, but also create synergies when eaten together, providing an even more enjoyable food experience. 【Tempura is made by professional Japanese chefs】 Tempura is a dish of battered and deep-fried vegetables and seafood that perfectly matches the crispy texture of the batter and the flavor of the ingredients.Typical ingredients include shrimp, eggplant, seasonal vegetables and local ingredients. Hokkaido is the most famous soba producing region in Japan.Because the climate and soil conditions in Hokkaido make it suitable for growing soba, high-quality soba is produced. Hokkaido's soba cuisine is a luxurious experience where you can enjoy local ingredients and culture. Therefore, it is also popular with tourists visiting Hokkaido. The soba experience in Hokkaido is a good opportunity to deeply understand Japanese soba culture and enjoy the local flavors. The guides were friendly, hospitable, and a delight to talk to. Just enough involvement to be fun, then they cook it deliciously for you. Cozy environment and private lesson. Whole experience took about 90 minutes Would definitely do again!
This experience was a highlight of our family trip to Japan! It was very informative and a lot of fun for our group of 5. Chef and the team ensure a really high quality experience. Plus, the meal at the end was delicious. Highly recommend!
We had such a wonderful soba-making experience! It was fun, hands-on, and really rewarding to learn the process from scratch. The highlight was definitely enjoying the fresh noodles we made ourselves—absolutely delicious. Highly recommend it for a memorable and tasty experience!
I had a great time with Taku showing us how to make Soba. Super glad we did it! You will learn a bit about the history of soba, its geographical relevance, and then make it from scratch using wheat/buck.
This is a must-do when visiting Sapporo! Location was easy to find. Instructors were extremely friendly and knowledgeable! They were also very accommodating towards foreigners. Highly recommend this experience!
This is an outstanding experience. We learned about the history of soba noodles in Hokkaido and Japan. Taku provided clear instructions in English. We had a lot of fun making our soba noodles. A great family experience!
You make the soba for your meal afterwards. The meal was delicious! You get both a hot and cold dipping “sauce/soup”. And this particular experience also comes with a plate of tempura - when we went they also included seasonal asparagus. My 3 year old loved the meal.
Exceptional local experience. Not only was this a great hands-on time, but we also got to see the art and science and love of soba from scratch. My son also got to practice his Japanese in speaking with the owner!
The place was easy to find and close to Miyanosawa station. Taku was very friendly and patient with me learning how to make soba. His partner was also very friendly and made delicious tempura. Highly encourage anyone to take part.
We really enjoyed this experience - being guided through the process by an expert soba maker followed by a wonderful meal of the soba we’d just made. The guides welcomed us into their space and made it a really magical experience!
