Really nice trip to...

Really nice trip to Kokino and monastery. Kokino was very quiet and peaceful. It’s not a place with loads of tourists so you might have the place to yourself! Both my driver and guide were wonderful!

Not to be missed in Skopje

Very knowledgeable guide and a fascinating tour to prehistorical and Medieval-Orthodox Macedonia. We were told that few tourists take this tour perhaps because of the walking part in Kokino (but is not severe)—I would add the claim on the Internet that Kokino was not really an observatory (but it was surely a shrine 4,000 years ago; and as a scholar I would warn everybody against taking Wikipedia’s word on complicated questions). The magic of Kokino is not to be missed—on the other hand being the only visitors created a special atmosphere—and the frescoes in the Orthodox churches are wonderful

Fascinating day trip!

The tour agency was extremely accommodating for me on this trip! The night before my trip I decided I wanted to also hike in the morning. Thankfully my guide Suzana was also a hiker and we made it happen. We started off the morning with a hike up to millennium cross and then went to Kokino which I found so fascinating. There were only a few other people out there so we had the place to ourselves as we explored the area and I learned some of the history of this area. The rock formations made for some pretty interesting views in contrast with the surroundings too, lovely photo opportunities. And the Osogovski monastery… wow! Beautifully nestled in gorgeous mountainous fall foliage, it was definitely a treat! My guide and driver were amazing as always. This was the perfect final day to close out my trip. Thank you!

Amazing tour and great guide

We loved our tour to Osogovski and the ancient observatory. I especially loved our delicious traditonal meal on the lovely terrace at the monastery. Our tour guide, Susanna (not sure if this is how she spells her name) was informative, flexible and told us some great stories! She was one of favorite guides on our trip to Macedonia.
