Halima was an incredible tour guide. Relaxed, knowledgeable and professional. She gave me a full tour of Mombasa and made me feel like I got to know the real city as well as a lot of interesting history. Definitely a must if you are in Mombasa.
Enjoyed our tour with Halima. Good experience walking through the city and learning more about Mombasa. Purchased some beautiful art, teas, and spices from the market. Would recommend, thanks again Halima :)
Our Guide was knowledgeable about the history as well as nearby shops, restaurants, and things to do. She was very pleasant, informative, and organized; all things you would want for your guide to be, however, one place of improvement which is very important to me for my guides is that they act somewhat as our protectors in the countries/cities we are not accustomed to, particularly when it comes to unfairly being charged extra for things simply for being a foreigner. For example, while I any a US citizen, my fiancée is an east African citizen, yet we were told we still had to pay the highest rate for both of us to enter the museum. The website states that east African citizens are charged at a reduced rate. Also, we bought water from a shop that I personally know charged me 3x the fair price for it.
The guide Halima was very nice, she made us feel safe and took longer than originally planned to guide us. We did fort Jesus, the old town, stopped at a tea shop to taste swahili chai. Then, we went to the market to finally look at the famous tusks. She provided precised informations and anwered at best the questions asked. Thank you so much for the experience. I recommend.
Coming to Mombasa for only 2 days, my relatives recommended me to explore the city with Alima. Alima asked about my preferences a few days prior my visit, and she organized everything. She even came to pick me up at my hotel, and dropped me there at the end! Her knowledge and kindness made my first visit of Mombasa a rich and unforgettable experience.
One of the best local guides in Mombasa City. I was glad to meet Ms. Halima who took me around the city. I admired the street food and the amazing sights.
